Dr Topp really saved me because he listened to me with respect for my experience which led to finally getting two hernias repaired. First I need to say that spine surgeries are very difficult for people because success rates arent fantastic no matter who you go to. I had a C4-C7 fusion by a top physician in Atlanta and am still in severe pain daily. In addition, have a L4-L5 herniation that I have not yet had surgery on because after the cervical fusion in 2014 in Atlanta, any spine surgery terrifies me. So far the pain is being controlled with my pain management medication and an epidural every 6-9 months. I do think I will trust Dr Topp with my back when the time comes. He was a godsend to me because he was the only doctor to take my word for it that I could see a hernia bulge and feel a knot in my left side. Prior to that I had been in severe pain in my left groin, low back, and left thigh for years! I had lumbar stenosis and related pain, but this hernia was a different kind of pain! And I could palpate it! But despite several trips to the ER no surgeon would operate. They said if they could not see it in CT then it did not exist. When I told Dr Topp about the problems I had in North Ga getting someone to help me, he referred me to Dr Arlauskus who ALSO listened to me and who repaired two hernias! TWO ! I still have pain in the area but the agonizing pain of the hernia is gone. Its a tricky area and Im having severe pain now caused by the hardware in my left femur from repair of a fracture AND pain from my l4-L5 herniation and SI joint dysfunction. So I need to find someone to remove the screws and rod. If this severe leg pain continues then its related to my back and it will be time to ask Dr Topp to do the back surgery I need. I trust him to do a good job.

Dr. Topp was practical, knowlegdable and compassionate. We had visited over a half dozen different doctors for my daughter's back pain/problems. Dr. Topp was hands down the best.

Dr. Topp is very knowledgeable, professional and kind. I had severe neck pain from an automobile accident, for about 18 months. I feel 100% better. My pain level went from 9 to 2 shortly after my surgery. I would recommend Dr Topp to anyone requiring neck or spine surgery

in 2017 operated on by L4-L5. He put one of the screws in sideways. When i woke from surgery I had a shooting pain run down my leg into my foot. Have nerve damage for the rest of my life. Beware!!!! Back surgery; go to a neurosurgeon.

I went to him years ago and he asked if I was allergic to anything I told him yes and he prescribed me a medication that had a different name but was the SAME medicine I was allergic to . My Dr. Just referred me to him AGAIN after I asked to be referred to a neurosurgeon in Jacksonville, I refuse to have another Georgia quack operate on me.
