We considered using Rylander Septic Service to pump our septic tank & inspect our system because they were listed as the last company the previous home owner used to pump it according to county records, & the system was in good condition at that time (5 years ago). I was at first really hesitant, due to their google reviews/ratings. When choosing a company to work on our homes I am extremely picky! I usually utilize Google, & two other sites to check reviews, ratings, and complaint history before making a decision. Although this company had an A+ rating on one site, & no reviews on the other, their google reviews weren't the best. This lead to me calling 20+ other companies to get pricing for my septic pumping & inspection. The prices, reviews, & feedback from the compaines were simply all over the place. I could tell that this is an industry with alot of dishonest busines owners, price gougers, & "low ball" bait & switchers (the the bait & switch copanies give you a phone quote of $150-$200 & even advertise this on their sites however almost all customers end up paying $600-$1k+ according to reviews). Some of the ones with the highest reviews were price gougers, with initial prices that were ridiculously high, like $850+ to pump & inspect, then of course there many be unknown problems that could send our final bill up well over $1k-2k.
Finally I decided to call Rylander Septic Service. The owner Xavier answered, his price was very reasonable $390 as of 7/22/22 & included inspecting the system (not as low as the bait & switchers, nor as high as the price gougers). He was very knowledgeable, & able to answer all the questions I had. He was able to get me on his schedule in a short period of time. When his guys came out they discovered that our baffle T was deteriorating & gave us a very reasonable price to replace it, the tank was otherwise still in good condition, & the drain lines were functioning properly. I am very happy I decided to give them a chance! No bait & switch, no price gouging, no up sell, a good & through inspection that discovered a legitimate proplem that could have caused major problems down the line if not corrected. I will definitely use them going forward! Thank you Rylander Septic! You have earned this long raving review!
