ETL Construction

We wasted over six months and $15,000 trying to do our renovation with ETL. After all that time and not one bit of construction had started we finally moved to a new company. Run far away!

We did a 1 year renovation of our home with them and had as bad of an experience as imaginable. Do yourself a favor and use literally anyone else.

A 6 month project turned into a year plus job. Really unorganized and did not really know what they had gotten into. Excuse after excuse, even many sub contractors were saying how they never seen a company work so slow, yes multiple subs said this. More than 20% more in cost because they price everything at cheap/basic stuff knowing what we had in mind. These guys really blew my dream, something I can't to this day recover from. Bill tells you what you want to hear and makes everything sound great and like he knows what he is doing, basic salesman nothing better, he lies and cheats his way around things. Tim did not know what he was doing, subs would tell him what would be better and what they need when he would get the wrong products. Both Kim and Tim could not do or say anything without Bill because they didn't want to say or do something "without his blessing" (exact words). NEVER AGAIN doing business with ETL, NEVER. only reason I gave them an honest 2 stars is because they have good subs with good guys that did a good job. That being said, anything any actual ETL employees worked on was bad. Guys work for 5 minutes and take an hour break and smoke or ok their phones. Once again the two stars are for the sub contractors they use not any part of ETL. I recommend to stay away and get everything in writing, text or email because Bill will lie in your face and have his hand on a Bible at the same time. June 2022 update: Changed to one star (from 2 stars) ETL is just horrible. Something was left incorrect and it's been a pain to get them to fix it right. They came by and made it even worse. Please for your own sake STAY AWAY! If I could I would leave no stars for ETL itself.

I contracted this company to enclose my back patio, basically just put up one wall, which was all windows and door and a roof that attached to our house. It took them almost 3 months after signing contract before they got started and that was only 3 days to frame the roof and side with the windows. We heard every excuse in the book on getting anything done. I did have special order windows that took 5 weeks to get here and according to manufacturer the time should never exceed 14 days. When the windows did arrive finally they had crew come out that never installed these types of windows. So the work was terrible and the products they used for ceiling and sides looked like second rate quality. I wrote numerous emails and did so many phone calls to management and basically just got put off with bs talk about how busy they were and they would get it done. After 7 1/2 months it was finally finished to them. Even though my yard was tore up from materials laying there and the door is still crooked. I would never use these guys again and don't recommend them to anyone!
