Great way to spend the day. Beautiful scenic ride to the Tennessee state line. Spend a couple of hours exploring the towns, and then a beautiful ride back to Blue Ridge. Or you can go on Saturday afternoon and just do the train ride up and back without the 2 hour lay over in town. No need to worry about what side to sit on on the train, on the way back they have everyone swap sides. This way you get river side on half the trip and mountain side the other half.

Fun Ride, we took the two hour trip in April. Pretty cold in the outside cars. Staff was very funny and helpful.
