My son had a rare and very serious condition that presented as a fever with neck pain. In a house of medical professionals, we all thought the neck pain meant meningitis or most likely that it came from a recent fall down the stairs. On a hunch, Dr. Matthew Threadgill ordered a CBC blood test when he could've simply dismissed it as a fever and a fall and sent him home to take tylenol and ibuprofen. The test result showed a serious problem that led us to go to the ER much sooner than we otherwise would have. This high level of care accelerated my son's recovery and prevented the condition from degenerating into sepsis, which was likely. Thank you for the great work!

Im sorry for the other reviewer who wrote an essay about her 2 experiences, but I have gone to Dr Newton since my second was born. Let me start off by saying I am a military spouse, and when we got here I was in my final trimester. My oldest had just turned 3, and I was super unfamiliar with who to go to. Fast forward a bit. I had my son at Doctors Hospital, which happens to be where Dr. Newton does his hospital shifts at. I am of hispanic decent, first generation. My oldest didn't get my full pigment, but my newborn did. I knew the dark spots on his bum had to do with him having dark pigmentation, but Dr. Newton still went beyond to explain and give me the rundown on why they were there. I knew from how patient and knowledgable he was that he was the doctor for us. Yes, his staff tends to not be as patient as he is but that doesn't fall on everyone. As long as the PRIMARY doctor does what we need to care for our children, that is all that matters. Whenever the kids have needed shots and whatnot the staff does their best to make them feel safe and if you, like I had to a couple of shots, need someone to come in and hold the baby they will gladly come in and assist you. I have never had any trouble getting appointments or wait times in the sitting area, but I'm sure sometimes it may get hectic. This has been my experience with them and I hope one negative review won't scare you off. (As a sidenote: Dr Newton is extremely caring of all his patients. When they turn 4 he gives them their own bible to learn how to read with. I have never heard of any other doctors ever being so kind to not just care about their physical health, but their spiritual wellbeing as well. )
