SpringHill Suites by Marriott Augusta

I would like to say first this review is by far long overdue and very much well deserved by this staff. Each year weve come were welcomed with excited smiles and warm words. Ms. Carol has greeted us for our 3rd year in a row consistently with such professionalism and genuine hospitality energy. She has a warm smile that makes you feel at home and gives the best hug. We enjoy her company and promptness with any request along with Ms. Connie w/ house keeping & Ms. Jeanette w/ the kitchen. The GM Brett is just as wonderful in being accommodating & making sure we have everything we need while here. Completely efficient staff operating during Masters week. Thank you for all you do Team!

Newer construction with a very helpful staff. Rooms were spacious and clean. The sliding glass barn door to the bathroom provided additional unobstructed movement within the room. A couch and plenty of pillows made relaxing easy. Convenient to the highway with resturants and stores within a walkable range, thanks to new sidewalks with controlled traffic lights. The furniture in the lobby is comfortable and the variety provides an environment for work or relaxation. There is a nice area to relax outside and entrances are connected with sidewalks. Staff cares about security and took extra steps to be sure guests were comfortable. Rooms: Carpeting and Furniture is new and in great condition. Walkability: Easy 10 minute or less walk to the stores and resturants.

About 10 minutes from Augusta National and not close to town. I have been an Ambassador with Marriott a few years now and almost never get put in a double bed room. Always requst king bed. They told me they had me a king room and put me in the worst room I have ever had at a Marriott. Next business trip to Augusta I will try the Marriott on the river, downtown.

The breakfast food leaves a lot to be desired. How about some fresh fruit. They had soured milk and creamer. Many were throwing coffee and cereal away after they started to drink/eat because of it. There was a team of soccer kids there when I was there. The kids were running up and down the hallways, emptying out the ice machines. Mgmt should have stopped it. They should have been aware because it was on main floor too. The parents were letting them run wild. May need to try a different hotel next time.
