We had a failure of our emergency shut off valve which allowed for the overflow of water in our AC system that was running all day due to some work being done on our house. The water overflowed into our house ruining our upstairs flooring and some drywall in a closet. Our system was installed by Mitchell Mechanical and under their warranty. So, per their instructions, our system was maintained. However, there was a clog in the overflow pipe for condensation drainage which caused the drain pain to fill up with 3 gallons of water. The emergency shutoff switch failed and they per GA requirements did not hook up our emergency pipe that was originally installed when we had our house built. Mitchell Mechanical replaced the shut off switch and unplugged our condesation drain. However, when I requested to speak with the manager, I did, but then I wanted to speak with the owner to obtain payment for my insurance deductible and he never called back.
I have been a customer for over 7 years and find this practice of ignoring your customers when the equipment your company installed fails and causes thousands of dollars in damage to be cowardly and shameful.
It seems to be the way of the world when dealing with companies throughout the state of GA. From car washes to healthcare systems and HVAC companies. Buyer beware.
Today is March 20, 2024. The manager at Mitchell Mechanical, Bill did reach out to me and made things right. I really appreciate what he did. Im still a customer and thankful for their service to my home.

Ive been using Mitchell for a few years now. However, after hearing a lot of things about another company, I decided to give them a try. Big mistake. Huge mistake. They were not cool, and only masters at lying if you catch my drift.
The other company spent about 10 minutes checking out my unit, and quickly jumped to the conclusion that my 6 year old unit took a total poop, and I needed a new one at the low price of $13k. They were really pushy on financing right then and tried convincing me this was an investment right. When I mentioned paying cash they tried pushing financing even harder which grossed me out.
I called my normal guys at Mitchell and was pleased as usual. The technician spent about 30 minutes diagnosing and troubleshooting my unit. It was a rainy day and he made it a point to take off his boots and carry them through my house. He was respectful and informative. He diagnosed my unit and was able to provide a solution that was less than a quarter of the replacement price.
Installation of the new part was quick and professional. My technician explained the whole process and was also respectful of my home. Im annoyingly inquisitive but the technician was more than happy to educate me through the process. Overall a 10/10 experience every time I deal with Mitchell. Ill never cheat on you again I promise
