Atmosphere-decor truly draws you in . Seem to lack an ADA compliant threshold at there main entryway. Server- lacked heart, wasn't very attentive, rushed for payment Food- Inadequate portions for the size of my party and the price point. Tea- what tea? 3 options , no true presentations, fake timer for steeping(there was no tea bag in the teapot). The tea was just weak. I don't know this place could do so much better, be so much more.

Was initially happy to support this business. The business is new so I want to give grace. The low star reviews and comments are unfortunately true- its currently overpriced. As CEO of a luxury business, who had humble Southern beginnings, I know quality no matter the price tag. I think the high reviews are courtesy of a demographic with little experience of luxury places, and with few safe spaces to be soft and celebrated, so the bar is low/unknown. The place has potential and I wish the best for Black women in business. In reflection I feel like I donated money for a cause while attending an event with free snacks as opposed to a transaction with a return on investment. This is the kindest way to express and make peace with an experience of feeling scammed. There were no tea leaves in the pot, not much accommodation for dietary restrictions, and you could find better selection of store bought or catered items at free events that are self-serve. Perhaps its best for event rentals, where you could provide your own catering. Meet your friends at a great coffee shop or nice restaurant for quality time, food, tea, and ambiance. Otherwise its a donation, a payment for photo in the aesthetic, or overpriced reservation for intimate time and space better spent at a coffee shop.

This review is specifically for holding a baby shower here, which I would not recommend. They are super strict about reservations being for 90 minutes and there are no options for extending that time. For the price (~$120 pp), its just too rushed for a shower. It took ~30 minutes to get served tea/snacks, and they start checking you out at the 75-minute mark, so you have 45 minutes to eat, socialize, and if you want to open gifts or play a baby game, its just way too rushed. The people and decor are lovely, but no gluten free options for food seemed like an oversight (and pretty much everything that came had gluten, which was again really sad for the price pp if someone couldnt eat anything). Unfortunately we couldnt find other tea party options in the city that were quite the right fit, but I would encourage Dirty Tea to allow parties / checks of this size to have more time allotted for their reservation. 2.5 hours would have been perfect.

Thank you CEO for supporting our business, we are so sorry you did not find your experience to be what you expected for yourself. I also come from a luxury background so attention to detail and service are our main objective. We do appreciate you patronizing our business. Sorry we weren't your cup of tea! A demographic of people that don't know much about luxury?????

Hi Sophie , We enjoyed having you ladies for afternoon tea. We apologize that you ladies felt rushed we offered a private event or a regular reservation which is 90 minutes. Weekends are so busy in order to make sure all of our guest are accommodated we have to make sure we stay within the 90 minute time allotted. We hope you ladies understand. Have a Tea-Riffic day!
