I am so grateful for this hospital. As soon as they showed up to transport my son from another hospital I felt at ease. They were so professional. My son had a concussion, broken skull and bleeding in the brain. They were well trained and equipped to take care of him. Everyone at that hospital was a God sent. I can't tell you how scared we were but they took care of my boy and he has fully recovered with no permanent damage.

This is only because radiology…Nothing to do with all the nurses and doctors and other departments! We have been waiting for nearing 3 hours waiting for scans with a 3yo that has had to be NPO since last night. Something is drastically wrong with this situation. Not to mention…they moved appointments around without consulting us and that means he has to be out of school more, I have to be off work more, etc. There is no consideration for anything when it comes to radiology.

Upon arrival around 12:30am, I approached the desk to sign in and sat my child on the counter while I stood in front of him to fill out papers and my oldest son (age 2) stood next to me; and, the young lady with braids said in a frustration tone “OH MY GOSH†and instructed the receptionist to ask me to take my son down from the counter. While I understand the risk of sitting my child on the countertop there could have been another way to have addressed me. Secondly the same young lady took her sweet time eating behind the counter vs getting the patients insurance. She didn’t come to get my side of the room insurance until 2:30am 3:00am. She got everybody on the opposite side. When she came my side she took the lady beside me and then waited to ask me what my children’s name were and I politely gave it to her and she tells me the other receptionist is going to take my info. So I waited another 30 min before the receptionist came to get my information. I arrived at 12:30am it was now 3:00am going on 3:30am. 15 people were seen before my children who were wheezing and coughing, while no fever was present, their cough was severe and my youngest was diagnosed with RSV on Tuesday of this week. We weren’t seen until 3:45am-4:00am & this was just to take the vitals! The vitals for my children! Like why could this not have been done beforehand? We waiting 4 hours to get their vitals taken and then we were taken back to the room. Keep in mind my 1 year old who is still on a strict feeding schedule for milk and my 2 year old could not eat or drink during this time. When we went to the back to be seen by a doctor it took maybe 25 min for the doctor to come in and assess my children. My youngest who was already diagnosed with RSV had an ear infection and a mild case of pneumonia. So, my 1 year old who was overlooked in the waiting room sat there with pneumonia in his chest and an ear infection with a terrible cough and he was congested didn’t get seen until 4 - 4.5 hours AFTER arrival at 12:30am! Nevertheless, my 2 year old was treated for asthma because he was wheezing. So, I am livid and WILL NOT return. Never in my adulthood of going to the ER have I ever seen a child waiting 4-5 hours to be treated, when asthma and pneumonia takes priority the same as fever. Not to mention as a working mom, I did not get home until 6 in the morning and had my kids in the hospital from 12:30am - 5:30am with very little rest while I’m sick and pregnant myself. Poor customer service. Poor attention to detail. Poor judgement. Poor character judgement. Poor everything. I will definitely look into getting in contact with the board to handle this structure that’s been put in place at this ER.
