Suzanne P. Baker, PHD

I was a patient of Dr. Bakers for fifteen years. I cannot go into the details of my own experience, but I can fully attest that had I not been under her care, I would not be alive today. Throughout our years working together, she has always seen me for who I am, and while validating my trauma and genuine suffering, she never lost faith in who I could one day go on to become. Her compassion knows no bounds, and to this day, she is one of the most deeply empathetic individuals I have ever known. To me, she has always represented the absolute pinnacle of what it means to be a therapist, a healer on par with the most highly skilled surgeonthat is to say, where the latter would utilize their expertise to repair the human body, she wields her insightfulness and intuitive understanding of human emotions and vulnerabilities to repair the most profound and devastating injuries of the mind. I was blessed beyond words to have worked with her as long as I did, and I miss her to this day. If she does go on to one day return to practicing psychotherapy, I can assure you that she is one of the absolute best therapists you will ever find on this planet. Thank you, Dr. Baker, for helping me hold on and become who I never thought I could be.

Dr. Baker has what I believe to be the three most important qualities of a therapist: 1) She is knowledgeable. 2) She listens. 3) She cares.
