Ive been seeing James Allen from the Decatur location for almost two months now. Hes awesome. Really worked on helping me find the right medication that is changing my life. If only I had my medication. I have an issue with whoever handles sending in prescriptions. There have been multiple times when my prescription wasnt sent in after my appt and I was unable to get in contact with the office. The first time I left 3 voicemails begging someone to help and no one called me back for 6 days. I didnt get my medicine for more than a week after my appt and my follow up was just a two week long period. They told me it was rejected in the system, which my pharmacist told me wasnt true since theyre the ones who handle running through insurance. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt but here I am, once again, without medication because the pharmacy never received my prescription. I was unable to reach anyone in the office before the weekend. Its just really frustrating that after finally getting to a doctor, getting a diagnosis and finding the right medication Im having to chase someone down for it.

After being told my insurance was good, someone called and asked for my card number saying it was something new they started this year, I gave my card information and was charged $175, not only that I still havent got my visit with the doctor. I suffer real bad from anxiety and adhd and just trying to get the proper help. Well they dont care seems like all they want is money. I wish people were hired from experience and not just have jobs because people need help.

Some patients face problems like difficulty concentrating, depression, anxiety, and stress. Others struggle with life transitions, self-esteem, and mental health disorders. No matter why patients need help, they find new ways to cope with therapy and counseling that's customized to meet their individual needs. The team completes psychiatric evaluations and identifies the interpersonal interactions and behavioral problems at the root of each challenge. Psychiatric Consultants of Atlanta also includes cognitive testing as part of their routine assessments for all patients. Getting information about a person's memory and their ability to pay attention and reason allows the team to create interventions that improve brain function and enhance each person's quality of life. Patients have access to innovative treatments that aren't widely available. The team offers transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and Spravato. TMS is a safe and non-invasive treatment using magnetic impulses to rebalance brain chemicals and improve anxiety and depression. Business Response on Google Feb 13th, 2024
After looking into the matter, I discovered that your prescriptions were indeed sent to the pharmacy on the same day as your appointment. However, it seems that the pharmacy may have rejected the prescriptions due to the requirement of a prior authorization. This means that they need additional approval from your insurance provider before they can dispense the medication. Unfortunately, such requirements are common in certain cases to ensure the appropriate use of certain medications.I understand that this situation may be frustrating for you, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

We understand your concerns about the amount you were charged. The charge of $175 is based on your insurance plan's deductible requirements. We apologize for any confusion and will review our communication process to ensure better clarity in the future. If you have further questions or need assistance, please contact our billing department.
