For the amount we are paying the lack of response and attention to detail from the leasing staff is unacceptable. We are also paying amenities fees when the amenities don't even exist yet. I was promised they'd be finished by June (LOL). If I knew they'd be taking another few months I would have looked to live else where.

This is in regards to their property "The Brooke". Preferred Apartment Communities apparently doesn't believe in phone calls anymore as no one at the property level or corporate level know how to pick up a ringing phone. Good luck trying to communicate with this company. I attempted to secure an apartment here but the office staff seems to have zero clue to how process applications and don't know how to pick up the phone. The very bad lack of response to a prospective tenant really made me wonder if you can even get a response out of them if you have signed your lease. I submitted my application on May 4th but forgot I had my credit file locked, I received an email from the company that does the application indicating to unlock my file and notify the complex that it has been unlocked to resubmit the application. I did this an tried to call and call but they never answer their phone and their voicemail is full, additionally there is not email address to contact the property. Finally after attempting to call all day on May 5th I got through on the 8th or 9th attempt - they seemed annoyed and said "your application is in process" to which I informed them of the email regarding my locked credit file. I was cast off and nothing progressed. The following Thursday May 11th I called again to check on status to which I was told 'oh yeah you need to unlock your credit file and resubmit' - yup exactly what I told them the prior phone call - they said they would figure out how to resubmit the application. Here we are now another 1 week later and NOTHING has been done. I found a similar apartment around the corner that processed my application in a very short 4 days so I said to hell with The Brooke. Disputed all the charges on my credit card as they have not done anything, will be reporting this to Preferred Apartment Communities as well as if this is the serious lack of response for a new resident I cannot even imagine how they treat current residents that they are already getting $$$ from.
