Very beautiful views. I came to a different part of grant park previously and was excited to see that I had more to explore of this area. This side is closer to the zoo and the parking garage. There were all types of birds and nice architecture along the multiple paths that you can walk. There is also a covered area to stand under during the rain or maybe to give shade from the sun. The grass was sooooo green and I found myself stopping often to photograph the plant life.

Good parking for the zoo

Parking garage feels safe; however the garage is inverted. Expect to go down not up for more parking. When you enter, just take a hard right and go all the way to the last row for the ramp down -- you'll likely find abundant parking down on these lower levels. This is "Backwards" from most garages because although everyone crams to park on level 1, you actually want to park on level 3 (-3?) which is ground level. This will let you find parking faster and let you skip the stairs/elevator. My only major complaint is the vast majority of the parking spaces all feel about 6-8" too close together. I saw a large truck almost take off someones bumper, and I myself had to do a 3 point turn to back out of my space with my midsized SUV. Very uncomfortable parking if you're not in a small sedan.
