Great dr., I had a life long nose problem. He fixed it, now I can breath! He talks in easy to understand terms, and finally a dr. That really knows what hes doing!

Decent experience. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 but I have these 2 huge bumps on my septum after my septoplatsy

I had surgery with Dr. Tritt for a deviated septum in 2018. Sounded like a success at first. After surgery, I went in for a follow up. The staff casually told me I now had a 'perforation' in my septum. They said this perforation was a small hole in my septum. They said "These happen frequently... and it should not be an issue. If anything, it might cause some minor whistling noises as air passes through the hole. Worst case - an occasional nose bleed in airplanes." Naively, I did not think much about it. Fast forward a few months later. Everything seemed okay. However, I still noticed traces of fresh blood whenever I blew my nose. Then I started to get sinus infections. Very bad ones that would shut me down for two weeks at a time and result in antibiotics. I had never has sinus infections before so it didn't take long for me to wonder if my surgery (and this perforation) had anything to do with them. I ended up going to another ENT for his opinion. He said my nose had not healed properly and he needed to cauterize the opening to stop the bleeding. He said the bigger issue though was the perforation. It was the largest he had ever seen. 2 cm in length. In other words - I had an inch wide circular hole in the wall of my septum. Not good. This perforation caused bleeding, infections, and irregular air flow. And... it would only gets worse with age. The ENT said he could not operate on a perforation this big. I contact Dr. Tritt again to see if he could help or had any suggestions. His response was something like - "I'm sorry, this is an expected risk of the procedure though." Very frustrating. I contacted a third ENT to discuss treatment options. Yet again, this one said it was one of the largest perforations he had ever seen... and he would not be able to fix it. He did, however, refer me to one of the few surgeons in the country that could. A plastic surgeon based out of Houston though. I would have to travel to him. Finally, 4 years later I had surgery with this plastic surgeon to fix the perforation. It cost $30,000 (and they do not accept insurance). I had to go to Houston, TX, rent a hotel for a week, fly in a family member, and go back for half a dozen more follow ups. In short, it is a very involved procedure. Fingers crossed it is fixed now. In summary, was my nose inherently difficult to operate on... or was Dr. Tritt a bad surgeon? Honestly, I don't know. Probably both. What I do know is Dr. Tritt did not: 1. outline the risk of the perforation ahead of time 2. clearly explain what had happened and explain the real implications of the perforation 3. offer to help in any way at all I would absolutely not recommend anyone go to Dr. Tritt for any reason. Especially not for surgery. Side note - this surgery caused a huge problem in my life. Lifestyle, time, cost, pain, etc. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I'd love to help a potential patient not have to deal with what I have had to deal with. Best.

I have chronic sinusitis and underwent 2 unsuccessful, invasive surgeries prior to finding Dr. Tritt who finally fixed me. He is the best around! I've consulted with specialists all over Atlanta/metro, Emory to Cobb County. I was very scared and hesitant after past malpractice and Doctors who did not stop to listen. I feared undergoing any extensive surgeries. He has excellent bedside manner and actually listened to my concerns to find a solutions that works while keeping me comfortable. Dr. Tritt suggested the non-invasive, in office balloon sinuplasty to help my general breathing and wellbeing. I wish I did this years ago! I cannot express that enough, and I was fearful all the way up to the procedure. It was so simple, less than an hour, I was totally comfortable, and the recovery is super short. As soon as I healed I noticed I was sleeping better and had far more energy. 4 months later I am still sleeping better, my energy is levels are fantastic, and I can exercise longer. The best part is I don't have those old bogged down days where I felt like my head just might explode under sinus pressure - something that I was so used to before the balloon surgery. If you're like me, and are totally scared of surgeries, this is the place for you. You will be so glad you did. Thank you Dr. Tritt, his wonderful nurses, and staff!
