Dr Sood is one of the leading cataract, cornea and refractive surgekns in the US. She is very patient centric, and provides outstanding patient care. I would highly recommend Dr Sood.

Dr. Sood provided excellent care throughout my eye appt at Emory. She was attentive, personable, took her time to breakdown results from my testing, and direct in her assessment and recs. Getting on her schedule took a follow-up call to the scheduling line I was told Dr. Sood was booked tight during this period. I soon moved up on the waitlist and was slotted in when another appt cancelled. Overall, thankful I took the ref to Dr. Sood and grateful to find an exceptional cornea/cataract specialist who is for-real-for-real and focused on my journey to a great outcome.

Contrary to many of the opinions on Google, my cataract experience with Dr. Sood and the Emory team was exceptional. Social media tends to lean negatively and many of the physicians do not have the time or resources to respond. Dr. Sood is an excellent communicator, responsive, well practiced in the art and totally patient focused. She represents Emory's continued commitment to excellence in the medical field.

Dr. Sood did a quick literary search of my issue before our appointment and her conclusion left no room for further discussion or even the slightest validation for my lived experience. Just because she didnt find anything, she took that to mean it was impossible for my negative visual side effects while on Spironolactone to correlate. I did my own little literary search when I got home after leaving her office in tears. Academia actually has stuff to say about this issue, Dr. Sood. If you listened to your patients and took them seriously, you might be able to contribute to the already existing literary works on the subject.
