I am appalled with the treatment I received at this practice. In the middle of care out of the blue I receive a notice in the mail from Dr. Barratt that I am being dismissed from this practice due to a less than ideal relationship. This stems from a situation last year with another doctor from this practice (Jayarsi Bukkapatnam) that was extremely cold and mean to me during my pregnancy that resulted in my crying and hurt in multiple occasions. I kept getting solicited to share my feedback so when I did, it is now resulting in me being dismissed a year later, even though she was the one who was mean to me while pregnant. I thought I built a great relationship with Dr. Barratt just to be blindsided by this notice out of the blue a year later and right after a recent appointment where I never even received my test results. When I tried to call the office to receive my results and speak with the doctor to have someone explain my results, no one picks up. I finally got a hold of a receptionist after calling from a different number and I was told someone would be in touch with still no follow up from this office. I have also been experiencing incessant bleeding following a recent procedure from Dr. Barratt that still hasnt ceased. Since no one will answer the phone or call me back I tried to seek medical care at a different Piedmont OB-Gyn office and I was denied care and unable to make an appointment at another office because of Dr. Barratt dismissing me from his practice. This whole situation is extremely bizarre that I am being denied medical care anywhere at Piedmont while doctors are being protected in choosing not to see patients at their discretion. I just want to get checked out because the bleeding doesnt seem right and no other practice will see me now. I am absolutely floored that it appears that I have no other choice at this point but to possibly speak to a malpractice attorney because nothing about this situation feels legal.

Dr Barratt is just simply one of the best docs I've seen in all my years going to Atlanta obgyn. He takes time to *really* listen, has a great bedside manner, great sense of humor, and generally an all-round nice guy!

I've been a patient of Dr. Barrett for over 30 years! He is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I have. My only regret is that he will be retiring. He will not be replaceable!
