Varnish Lane Buckhead Atlanta

I have been coming to Varnish Lane for years. When I lived in Charleston, I went to that location and when I moved to ATL, I was thrilled there was one here. The issue is...everytime I come in, some of the employees are watching TV in the front, in the back and without headphones. This isnt your typical cheap nail salon either. The goal is to have a nice expereince with sustainable materials. Its a bit hard to do with two TVs playing and sometimes kids distracting you from relaxing. I love the service and what Varnish Lane stands for but come on.... Andrea was fabulous, just wish it was a better environment. Services: Nail extensions, Polish removal, Pedicure, Manicure

I have been here twice. Once with my daughter and the second time just by myself. Let me first say that my tech Andrea was great. I really have no complaints about her (this review isnt about her services) my main complaint is about the establishment as a whole. The first time I came with my daughter I felt like the tech was bothered by the fact my daughter was nervous and wanted to sit on my lap. The energy from her was in no way what I was envisioning. My daughter is 4 years old and it was her first experience at a salon. I had surprised her and was really excited for it because we were supposed to go together and both get services done at the same time. Right before our appointment they called and said they couldnt do mine just my daughters. It was disappointing but I still kept the appointment so she could at least still have her nails and toes done. I wasnt impressed again with the energy of the tech. I really would have expected a warmer and nicer experience. My second experience with this salon I came because the manager told me that since they cancelled on my services the first time so last minute that they would cover my services for free due to the inconvenience. I took them up on this and scheduled an appointment for myself. Andrea did a great job. However, the tech next to us was one of the rudest techs Ive ever encountered before at a salon. The day I came in she was wearing a bright blue shirt snd I believe white pants. She had her dreads up in a half up half down ponytail. I didnt see this woman smile once. When I tell you she was exuding incredibly off negative energy I really dont know how else to say it. At one point she snapped at HER OWN customer. I feel like the energy overall just hasnt been right about this place. Its unfortunate because I do feel it has the potential to be a really nice place. I leave such a low rating because the owner really needs to do better. The people you hire and continue to have servicing your customers speaks volumes about your establishment and some of your techs just really need to go. Horrible attitudes for that, I will never be back. Service: Manicure
