The Cottages on Mountain Creek

This is an update to a review I wrote in September, 2019. Andy will be reaching a milestone in his stay at the Cottages on Mountain Creek, four years in November 2022. He has become more sociable, has enjoyed independent living, and has developed new interests. Right now he likes to collect coins and gardening. The backyard of his home is perfect for this! The Cottages on Mountain Creek offers an array of activities, provides healthy meals, and fosters good communication between parents and administration. This is essential for the improvement of the client. Andy's treatment team listened to the COVID guidelines and did a fantastic job with their clients during the lock down. Andy never got COVID and got fully vaccinated. Therefore, the Cottages on Mountain Creek has been instrumental in Andy's progress.

Worse company ever!!! Owner is rude and her son that works there is worst than her (He also commented on this company giving it a five star). Check your hours when working for this company, their clock in system is incorrect and they refuse to fix it because they don't want to pay you your hours worked. I would not recommend anyone to work here unless you are ok with not getting your full pay every two weeks like the rest of the people that work there and talk about it but refuse to speak up!!!

If you present your place of business as treatment for mental illness you would think the owner and or management has compassion and empathy for the ill and the families. This so called establishment shows zero sign of truly understanding how horrible it is for the individual and the loved ones trying to save them! My brother was signed up for treatment here and dropped off on a Friday after family handed over $12,000 for his stay. He was not on board and too sick to really consent and he ran away before even receiving one treatment session or even seeing a psychiatrist. The establishment instead of imposing a cancellation fee sued my family as if he had stayed and received all of his treatment! Where is the sense of humanity?! This is a horrible act of selfish practices and should be considered illegal! There should be laws in effect to protect families from this type of betrayal! SHAME!! Stay away if your loved one is on the sicker side of the spectrum because they will tell you there is security and that they cant just leave but that is not truth! I can only hope I dont get sued now by warning people but I can not stay silent with such a horrible act of selfishness and greed!
