As the story goes, this metalwork is one of the original smoke stacks from the old Atlantic Steel factory that once occupied the site where Atlantic Station is built. A remnant to the history of this place that was once a polluted mess and now stands as one of the nations most notable brownfield developments in a major urban area. Its a nice touch to have it here, but I suspect that only a very few Atlanta history buffs would ever seek this out.

Glad to see a remnant of this steel plant preserved. A needed entity that helped build and make Atlanta what it is today.
