Nicole in scheduling had the worse customer service. She took my social security number but would not take my insurance information and proceeded to transfer me to financial planning during me explaining to her that I had insurance.

Had to make appt. For sick brother. spoke with Shaylene- with GI scheduling. amazing very friendly and accommodating. She made my day! 5/5 for her. I hope someone from Emory sees this because prior to this I have not had the best experience with Emory.

Called to setup an appointment. I arrive and they tell me. That no appointment was ever made. Now I have to wait almost 3 months.

I was told I had IBS several years ago. Then diverticulosis, which turned into a several case of diverticulitis requiring major surgery to remove part of my colon. Dr. Joshua Novak (no longer at Emory) and surgeon Dr. Virginia Shaffer were absolutely the very best.

Lets talk about an institution that does not care about their patients. First my appointment was rescheduled without my permission and changed to a virtual appointment with the nurse practitioner, Kristine Jewell (according to the voice mail left on my phone, she needed family time) and then my new appointment was canceled a month later with no explanation. I called the front desk three minutes after I got the text and of course no one left a note or reason why I could not be seen. Its very upsetting because in the four months I was waiting for my appointment, I couldve went to a new provider to be seen. Now, my care is pushed back unnecessarily and they dont even care enough to communicate with their patients. Ive gone to Emory for my all of my primary and specialized care since I was a child and now as an adult it is more important that i have a provider who genuinely value their patients and the care experience they provide. This was my last negative experience with an Emory provider because I will no longer be returning for any service. Its not a hair appointment, this is peoples lives and health that they are disregarding.
