Corbett set me up with an HVAC plan and ventilation product recommendations for my ADU project. Hes super efficient with his time and clearly an expert in the subject. Its hard to find building performance experts in my area (suburban SoCal) and Im glad people like Corbett are available to help everyone build healthy and comfortable homes. Thank you!

Excellent advice and coaching. I could not have asked for a more generous and insightful interaction. This company is truly a public service.

Corbett designed my HVAC system for an ICF house Im building in Lafayette Indiana. It includes a heat pump, ERV, active make-up air, dehumidifier, and humidifier. Corbett is a very efficient designer. He did exactly what he said he would do. Hes honest and friendly. BTW, this review is under a pseudonym. John B.

My wife and I are building our forever home in a small town in Oregon, which we fell in love with years ago, but where we've never actually lived. Weve never lived in a high desert environment before, and no prior experience with any local builder. Needless to say the build offered several interesting challenges for us, and Ive been doing my best to cull together information to make decisions in line with our desire to have a super comfortable, efficient house that doesnt break the bank. We feel very fortunate to have a knowledgeable, open-minded builder who we trust, but I long ago decided it would behoove us to seek expert, independent guidance on several topics related to the build, including heating/cooling load, ventilation, humidification, and a lot of related stuff. I recently viewed a few of Corbett's videos and have been impressed with his breadth and depth of knowledge in building science subjects I've been tossing around and discussing with others for months. I was delighted to see he offered remote consulting, so I signed up for a two-hour session. I sent him some notes and a few of the pages of our construction drawings (floor plans, elevations, some cross sections, and details). During the call it took him only a few minutes to gain all the context I felt important for the conversation. He then astutely led me through a discussion of the 5 factors of ventilation, calculating specific data related to our build and its location, and quickly using that data to make several recommendations, with many links to websites and materials/products relevant to our build. At that time we reviewed additional heating/cooling load data and design materials I obtained from HVAC suppliers I have been considering. As you might imagine, if you've seen any of his videos, Corbett offered several strong opinions and very practical advice/recommendations, with a whole lot of passion, based on his detailed knowledge and personal experience. But he was also respectful of my journey and perspective. He was excellent at managing time and keeping us on track to cover everything I wanted to discuss with him. We got through everything in the two-hour session. Within an hour of the call, he shared all of his notes, data, recommendations and links, and the zoom call recordings. If youre reading this review, perhaps youre wondering if an hour or two with Corbett is worth the time/cost. Based on my experience I have a hard time imagining the answer could be anything but yes.
