Dr. Caughey is such a knowledgeable and caring doctor! I have been a dental professional for 20 years so I know a lot about dentistry. Dr. Caughey educated me on some dental related issues that I have been dealing with and my mind is blown! If you are looking for a true expert call Dr. Caughey! Missy her administrative assistant is so pleasant, professional and thorough when calling for information. Thank you both for all of your help!

Dr. Caughey and Mike Cantrell are truly the best of the best! Their expertise, care, and concern for achieving your best outcomes are unmatched. I was extremely nervous starting treatment for my TMJ. After researching extensively, I knew I wanted professionals who didn't immediately turn to invasive treatments and looked into how functioning of the whole body was impacting my TMJ function. Dr. Caughey and Mike took the time to answer my questions and help me understand the evaluation and treatment process. They were able to pin point my dysfunction and give me an effective plan of care. Within the first few days of beginning treatment I experienced relief and I am now symptom free! Thanks to Dr. Caughey and Mike I am empowered with knowledge and have the tools to continue to have a healthy and pain free future! Words truly cannot express how grateful I am for both of them!

I went to see Dr Caughey because I was having trouble chewing on one side of my mouth. After doing a CT scan she told me that we needed to get my jaw in a better position before we did anything else, even though I wasnt having any TMJ symptoms. The entire visit felt chaotic and rushed (she even had her dogs locked in a side room and they were barking their heads off the entire time). I went against my better judgement and continued on with her because I had been referred to her office. I had an exam, CT and was fitted with a bite splint, which cost $5500 and this did not resolve any of my issues with chewing on the right side of my mouth. When I went in for a follow up visit, thinking I was going to have the bite splint adjusted, Dr Caughey told me that the next step was to grind down the two healthy teeth that were hitting when I tried to chew, at a cost of $600/hr. Prior to this visit I had repeatedly told her that my teeth have shifted considerably over the past few years, but she never addressed or really acknowledged this. This visit lasted a whole 5 minutes and she never even showed me which teeth she planned on grinding down, let alone which areas of those teeth. I was left to show myself out of the office with my head spinning about what just happened while she rushed into another room to continue on with another patient. I reached out to Dr Caughey via email (I had been told this was ok) to get more info about the treatment plan and once again was not given any specifics about which teeth would be permanently altered. It became very clear at this point that there was not a concrete treatment plan in place. I then asked about trying orthodontics first and the response was she would study the models of my teeth and get back to me. I never heard back from her. When I went to get a second opinion the dentist that I saw was very professional and did not say anything negative about Dr Caughey, but she didnt need to. The look on her face said it all. She was clearly upset when she saw the position my jaw was in while wearing the bite splint and to hear that Dr Caughey planned to grind down healthy teeth and the cost for all of this.
