        After 2 failed attempts here in Florida to correct a CTO (Chronic Total Occlusion) of my "widowmaker" coronary artery, I was referred to Dr. Kandzari in March 2020. My health insurance company would not approve going to Dr. Kandzari as he was out of network, after several months of fighting. They said no and refused to bend. Through all of this Dr Kandzari and his staff stood by me and did whatever they were asked to help me. Ultimatley, I went on to Medicare and in December 2020 Dr K opened my artery. Just yesterday he implanted 2 stents and I am good to go. Dr. Kandzari and his teams work together flawlessly. They are an amazing and caring group of people, they literally saved my life.

        Dr. Kandzari has an excellent bedside manner. He explains all aspects of your condition, in depth, as well as the process he is to administer. His entire team works as a "pit crew", each knowing their jobs and performing them with precision and as a team. If you have a heart issue, Dr. Kandzari, and the Piedmont team is where to be.

      Dr. Kandzari is the Chief of the Piedmont Heart Institute and Cardiovascular Service Line; Director, Interventional Cardiology of the Piedmont Heart Institute; and Chief Scientific Officer for Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Kandzari specializes in cardiovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease and interventional cardiology. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Disease and Board of Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Kandzari has held national and international leadership roles in clinical trials in cardiovascular disease and has participated in national and international program committees in cardiology. He has authored and coauthored more than 350 studies, book chapters and scientific reviews, and has delivered more than 750 lectures, both nationally and internationally, on a variety of issues related to both interventional and general cardiology. Dr. Kandzari has been consecutively voted as one of Atlanta's Top Doctors by Atlanta Magazine from 2011 to 2020 and is peer-nominated in the top 1% of cardiologists by U.S News and World Report.
