Hertz Car Rental - Atlanta Midtown HLE

Let me start by saying that the courtland location downtown is great. Friendly staff, helpful in getting me a car when they didn't have the exact class I had reserved, and helped me when I had issues with the midtown location. On the other hand, my brief experience with the midtown location was bad. I wanted to drop the car off afterhours and the courtland location doesn't have that. So I was told to drop it off here. I did everything correctly, leaving the car in the correct place and writing the time and mileage on the envelope. The next morning, I got the bill for one day and one extra hour. The person who got the keys in the morning put the current time and not the time I dropped it off. They also said I drove 815 miles when it was probably around 100 miles. Pure laziness.

Poorly organized staff didn't notify my friend of a 45 minute delay (no car available) until she arrived to pick it up.

This location is closed. Not sure why Hertz still lists as a pick up location

Hertz forced us to return a car to this location DURING AN ACTIVE TORNADO IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA. Customer service's response? "We can't control the weather." The kicker was, they weren't even open when we got there. Worst experience ever renting a car, by far.
