Most architects have a high view of themselves and so a lot is forgiven/excused but a disingenuous character is not. It took 3 months to receive sketches for a generic backyard which could've been done in an hour. Then, after more months they created a plan that was far from anything we asked. Their off-direction, lackadaisical timing, and non-existent communication isn't professional. After more discussion, taking our budget into account, and more months, we were to be presented a more reachable design. Unfortunately, it took another 2 months only to find they had not begun the process. They are slow. If something more lucrative comes their way you will be placed on the back burner with little to no contact. If it wasn't for my reaching out I would not have known the status each time. If they were waiting for directions from our end they did not let us know until I initiated the inquiry. Frustrating to say the least. Their process is very laissez-faire..... Unless perhaps it's a project that will benefit their status as one of the most over-priced and haughty design firms in Atlanta. Customer service is not genuine and I do not feel comfortable allowing a business that I don't respect and trust to design my private home for my family. Sadly, the value and commitment is not there for me.
