AAMCO recommended a transmission rebuild for $4500. Took it to the dealer and the vehicle needed a transmission valve body replacement at $1700. The AAMCO manager explained to me after that they have to do the rebuild to warranty the vehicle for 1,800 miles. Wow, $3000 for a 1,800 mile warranty on one thing. I just got my son a 6 yr/100000 mile warranty on an entire new vehicle for $2700. They dont tell you that you can get the vehicle fixed cheaper for just whats wrong. I was trading the vehicle in so why would I need a 18-month warranty? STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE or at least inquire if the vehicle actually needs the rebuild for other than a 18-month warranty. Definitely get a second opinion. I believe this is there excuse to soak customers for thousands more. This shop would be great for an undercover sting by the local news or Better Business Bureau.

I would not go to this place again. My experience was awful. These people charged me $700 to replace a throttle they said needed to be replaced to stop the car from hesitating. After 5 long hours, as soon as I drove my car off the lot my car was doing the same exact thing. They said I was to keep coming back so they could try to resolve the problem but they just kept taking my car and parking it for hours with no resolutions. And they haven't reached out since to see if there was a change in the performance. These people are money-hungry and they need to reimburse me something for not fixing the problem and for treating me so poorly. Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement
