At first we were impressed with their ability to start our project, take our money, and send test pressings. After that there was ZERO communication regarding our planned release date. As the date neared we reached out to get an update as to when we could pick up our records only to find that they were still "weeks away" from starting on it. A few weeks later we reached out again only to be told they were STILL weeks away. It got to the point where we told them we wanted daily updates. Finally when we picked up our order over half of the records were poorly shrink-wrapped. Our initial goal was to keep things local by using a pressing plant near Chattanooga. We understand vinyl manufacturing takes a long time especially due to Covid, but to have NO communication from them is unprofessional. We waited nearly 8 months to get our order which was placed in January 2021. We picked it up August 12, 2021. There are plenty of pressing plants in the country/world. Use Kindercore at your own risk. The records do sound great, but they need to greatly improve communication and quality control.

Phenomenal service! Kindercore Vinyl was the third company I called, and they worked hand-in-hand with me to create the record we needed in the time we had when our previous record company fell through. Incredibly responsive on the phone and via email, helped me think through every detail, provided additional resources when it turned out we had the wrong file type - literally every step of the way held my hand without making me feel like it was an inconvenience to them. I can not recommend them highly enough for their customer service, the quality of their work, and their quick turnaround. Thank you, Kindercore Vinyl team, for helping my company deliver the quality product we needed on time!

Simply put, Kindercore is THE BEST. They are an absolutely first-rate vinyl manufacturer. Sure, there are plants that can do more volume, but, if you’re after quality and excellent customer service, Kindercore is where it’s at. In terms of artistry and professionalism, they can’t be beat. Twenty years ago, my brother Jeff and I had a record label called Terminus and put out around 30 records over about a five year period. We always dreamed of putting out the best of those records on vinyl, and in 2020 the stars aligned and we moved forward with re-issuing eleven titles. We were pretty naive, not realizing that turning around eleven vinyl records in the middle of a pandemic might have been just a bit over ambitious. In any event, we started working with the folks at Kindercore late last summer. They were great in helping us think through the best options for each release, including things like Tip-On jackets, colored vinyl, printed sleeves, etc. They coordinated with our mastering company and made sure the acetates got to the plating company they work with. And they were great in working with our graphic designer to make sure she had all the templates she needed. With jackets, printed sleeves, and stickers for eleven releases, there were a lot of assets to keep track of, but Kindercore managed things seamlessly between us and the printers and helped us get revised proofs whenever we needed to make changes to art late in the game. With the pandemic, this is probably one of the most challenging years ever to produce vinyl, and yet, in the midst of all the craziness and supply chain disruptions, Kindercore always kept their cool and assured us that they’d meet our deadlines. The pressure ramped up when three of our titles (Precious Bryant, Col.. Bruce Hampton, and Danny Barnes) were accepted into Record Store Day, meaning that deadlines were even earlier. Our biggest production roadblock was waiting on the Tip-On jackets from Stoughton. As my brother and I began to freak out and think our Record Store Day dreams were evaporating, Kindercore continued to assure us that the jackets would come in on time. And they did. My brother and I picked up the first five records this past Monday, and damn they look absolutely AMAZING. I mean, really elegant and expertly put together. And the records sound unbelievably good. It really is amazing how vinyl can transform a record and bring out details you never noticed before. We’re set to get the remaining six records from Kindercore next month, and I’m sure they’re going to look and sound as incredible as these first five. In touring the Kindercore plant this week, we learned that basically everyone that works there is a musician. And that makes sense. The craft that they bring to their own music they bring to lovingly produce vinyl for musicians and labels across the country. They’re really good at what they do, and, on top of that, they’re really good people that are a delight to work with. If I could give them fifty stars on this review, I would. Highly highly recommended.
