BenchMark Physical Therapy

Benchmark is the best physical therapy clinic that I have been to by far. Monica helped me resolve a problem that several PTs at two other clinics could not. Shes the best! Benchmarks entire staff is wonderful. Jenny was excellent helping me with my vertigo, and Kaitlin is always helpful with scheduling. I could not ask for a better PT experience.

**EDIT TO UPDATE** I spoke to Monica who advocated for me with the management/billing and got it taken care of! All is well now, many thanks to her! I'd give 4.5 stars if Google would allow it. Still not 5 because this issue happened, but definitely in the "very good" range because it got resolved. The physical therapy was good enough, but beware the billing department! Two years after completing my therapy, I was hit with a $500+ bill out of the blue. I had paid everything asked of me at the time of service, and didn't hear a peep for over two years. Once I received this bill, Benchmark refused to get on the phone with my insurance to figure things out, as the insurance said to me they had already paid the bill. They sent the bill to collections rather than figure out what happened and how to get it taken care of. Because the PT service was good, I gave two stars instead of one, but the billing issue has soured me terribly on this place.

I have used Benchmark PT in Athens since Sept 2023 and "graduated" yesterday from a frozen shoulder. The staff that worked with me (Anthony, Mark, Jackie and Shirley) are exceptional at what they do. Each one brought a unique set of skills to aid me in my healing journey. Every time that I walked in the door the front office staff would call me by name. Thank you Benchmark Athens for the amazing care that you gave me! You are all heroes!

From the beginning to the end of my Physical Therapy, the therapists were friendly and knowledgeable. I worked with a few therapists, and they were all great! Hopefully I won't have another injury, but if I did I would make them my first choice. I would definitely refer any and all my friends and family to Benchmark in Athens. Great job yall! Keep up the good work!!

Benchmark physical therapist are the best! I have been a client many times over the past few decades, due to two old spinal injuries and also following various surgeries including a double mastectomy and foot surgery. An accident, in '91, caused (untreated) whiplash and eventually buldging disks in my neck. In '81, while 8 weeks pregnant, I slipped on a step and went straight down on my tailbone. The damage it caused has contributed to multiple issues in my back over the years including bulging discs and pinched nerves and intense pain as I have aged. It has been 42 years now and sitting (on my tailbone) is extremely painful and my entire back, hips, and legs hurt. Benchmark has helped me find so much relief over the years and that relief always continued as long as I was doing my part of exercising and adhering to the weight lifting restrictions that I have always been aware of but too stubborn to adhere to. Exercising via water aerobics to continue strengthening my core along with the rest of my body was so beneficial that I became totally pain free and had more energy than I had experienced in years. When 2020 hit, however, my exercise routine ceased again and I have been paying the price. Foot surgery and the increased hip and back pain that came with using a knee scooter, walker, and crutches caused me to look forward to PT at Benchmark again where I knew help was guaranteed! Once I am released, I am heading back to water aerobics again to build onto the healing results that comes with PT! I highly recommend Benchmark. They are the experts who will help you through PT and give you guidelines regarding exercises to maintain a healthier core and how to continue to strengthen specific injured areas after treatment is over. I will always choose Bench mark!
