We live on the Eastside and were excited to see someone take over this spot. Gave them a try a couple of weeks ago. Waited close to a minute for someone to realize we had walked in. Only one other couple eating at 6:15 on a Wednesday night. The waiter did not understand his handheld point of service machine. My wifes drink was incorrect, and he had no clue what we meant when we inquired about their house dressing. We ordered their special of the night, a NY strip, and received something that resemble a thick Waffle House steak. We noticed from the menu that it was still happy hour and took advantage of half off drinks and appetizers. Shortly after we received our drinks and placed our order our food arrived all-at-once. I mean ALL of itbread, salads, appetizers, and steak. To top it off, none of the happy hour specials rang up correctly ($15 overcharge) and the waiter had no clue how to correct it because he said the owner entered the prices. We just paid and left. I don't know, maybe just a bad night? Salvaged the evening at DePalmas with Rhuby Spritzers and Zuppa Inglese.

EDITED TO UPDATE: I gave this five stars all the way around for the first couple of visits. Unfortunately, It went downhill from there. Their horrible service and lack of knowledge about what's going on in the restaurant brought shame to us when we were sharing the place with our guests. My father-in-law asked if It was prime beef, and the waitress said that they didn't know but that it was handcut in their kitchen. When she lleft, he asked us what kind of restaurant doesn't know what they're serving. Then of course when we were done they couldn't be bothered to remove the used dishes. So my father in law will not be going back. Also, the last three or four times we went, the waitress couldn't be bothered to take care of us because they had better things to do with only one other table in the entire restaurant! And by that I mean they were on their phones up at the bar. In total we went there at least ten times but we have stopped going and will not go back. My original review: We saw that this place had just opened and decided to try it for lunch. I was craving a burger and first thing we saw in the menu are burgers! I got a bacon cheeseburger and steak fries. The burger was unbelievably juicy, seasoned to perfection, and was definitely in my top two burgers of all time. Even the bacon on it seemed to be of better quality. The steak fries were amazing. They had an incredibly soft and moist interior with a very nice thin crunchy exterior. I would say that they are the best steak fries I've ever had in my life. All of the food was extremely fresh and of exceptional quality. They weren't busy at all, the service was very fast, and everyone who works there seemed happy, unlike otherrestaurantswherethe servers hate life. I'm so happy we finally have a great place to eat here on the east side of Athens!

We ordered a new York strip steak medium well for delivery with mashed potatoes and broccoli. When it arrived the steak had about 60% fat on it. While cutting the fat off we saw it was still raw inside (not rare, but RAW). The mashed potatoes were definitely from a box, and had way too much water. They were soupy, and were put in a container obviously not meant for liquids which meant they arrived half spilled all over the delivery bag. The broccoli was steamed for way too long, so it was limp and tasted like nothing - as though they had managed to steam away the innate flavor of the broccoli itself and turned it into a vessel for water. For steakhouse prices, you'd expect steakhouse quality, not Applebee's dumpster rejects.

Best tasting food in Athens. Everything is good here. The steak, burgers, snapper, it's all fantastic!!! Best service too. Parking: Don't think, try it. You'll go every week.
