I've been twice and they are horrible at helping students. 1st off unless you're going to hurt yourself right there the wait list is weeks to get an appointment. When you do go all they do is say "wow that's a lot...." and stay silent or give you a list of outside therapists to help yourself instead. Literally made me more upset leaving that place then I was when I went in

They do not seem to actually do anything. I am not sure why UGA is paying for all these "doctors" and "therapists" when they literally do not do anything. They will just refer you to another person outside of UGA. DO NOT GO HERE.

Ive seen three different doctors in the last 6 months (one for therapy who was transitioning out of UGA to a practice in atlanta, one who Im currently now seeing, and a psychiatrist for some meds) all three have been great, friendly, and seemingly very concerned for my well-being. Advice given has been very good and the sessions are not passive, meaning, they give a lot of feedback rather than just listening or asking vague questions. Ive already noticed improvement in the areas of my life weve been targeting. I only gave 4 stars because the first therapist (who left UGA already) was late 30-50 minutes to all three of our sessions without any notice or attempts to contact me. The sessions still went very well, but she no-showed for our 4th meeting and I was done.
