Got billed 94.00 for 1 day parking and no one is willing to help. Our student pays $71.00 a month along with apartment rent for parking at Washington Street. We will continue to follow through on this Rio off.

Trash. Modernize the parking situation downtown and get some meters where you can adjust from an app. Two tickets in a week because I was ten minutes late and had no way of extending time is absurd. Then to ask me to come back downtown to contest the ticket with no clear time frame of how long that process will take, probably resulting in another parking ticket. I have lived downtown and anyone familiar with Athens knows, that people park illegally constantly. In front of fire hydrants, loading zones, or my favorite, in the middle of the street and yet I have never seen one of these vehicles with a parking ticket. And as someone that has parked illegally like that several times, can confirm that I have never gotten a ticket. And yet, I actually pay for parking and receive a ticket. An absolute joke of a Downtown Authority.

Let me start off this review by saying this is about the parking department of Athens Downtown. A few weeks ago when getting into my car after eating lunch, I found an orange envelope on my car indicating I had received a parking ticket. I put it in my visor and forgot about it until yesterday. I decided to go online and pay the ticket, but when I opened the envelope there was no ticket inside. I still went online and typed in my tag number but nothing showed up. I called the Athens downtown parking department and spoke with a woman named Pam (I believe that was her name). I have to say that had to be the worst customer service anyone has ever provided. Like myself, she was unable to find a parking citation using my tag number. I asked her how I should pay it going forward or what my options were. This woman proceeded to tell me that there was absolutely nothing I could do, it would go to court, then collections, and sit on my credit report for forever. That is absurd!! She was so RUDE and UNHELPFUL! I then called the main number to Athens Downtown Development, they told me they could find nothing on my vehicle and to not worry about anything. I told the woman how rude Pam was and the things she said to me, which she had no response for and no comment about. I mean, a little niceness goes a long way and if this is how they perform their jobs, they should really hire new people! ABSURD! Management needs to look into this woman's job performance and customer service skills.
