2 stars because +1 for the actual bank employees who are pleasant and competent, -3 for the terrible costumer service line and lack of transparency for being able to actually call and speak to someone at the bank. Synovus has one of the worst costumer service experiences if you are calling the costumer service line. The automated system Jamie in impossible to get it to transfer to a human, once you actually get transferred you are almost guaranteed to not have your issue resolved the first time and will have to call back and listen to the automated machine ask you if you want to check your balance or make a transfer and not give you the option to say that your card is not working. They gave me a card that even after turning it on does not work at 99% of places because it says it is an invalid number and I cannot even add it to my apple wallet, uber, the gas station or my vets office but at least it worked for starbucks. The costumer service representative I spoke to told me nothing was wrong with my card and we read back the number and confirmed the zipcode. After hanging up and redialing it took 10 minutes to be transferred to the main line only to be told that they closed 4 minutes prior. The people at the bank are nice but the hours make it difficult to actually go there after the changed over to synovus. My husband and friends think I am crazy for using them for so long because of all of the issues I have had with them. Their smartphone application is not as user friendly as other platforms I have used for my partners account. Their option for ordering a new card and getting it in 2 days takes much longer than 2 days. There also are not many synovus banks if you leave the area. I would not use any synovus bank unless you are only a 5 minute drive away because you can expect to be going in person if you have any issues to try to get them resolved. I would recommend Chase, capital one, and ally bank over synovus.

This branch of Synovus Bank is super friendly. Everyone from the tellers both on the inside and at the drive-thru are incredible. Marcela is a huge asset to the branch with the biggest smile always and Ms. Benson is a great branch manager. They have been helpful and resolved any and all issues I have had or mistakes on my part. They are just the best. Very professional, courteous and friendly.
