POSITIVES - This theatre is beautifully adorned, fresh & brand new, the menu is tasty, and the frontline team is hospitable & professional. My family and I, are avid movie goers and concessions junkies & truly wanted to make SMG our favorite but we just arent able to give it 5 stars or make it our new go-to theatre for several reasons that we have brought up as suggestions to the managerial team in-person. NEGATIVES - The first time at SMG we noticed the food service staff did not respond to orders quickly enough to get most patrons orders & food delivered prior to the start of the movie despite many people being seated with red service lights on, waiting well before the movie began. Due to this, there is a lot of loud talking, cell phone lights & disturbances DURING the movie. Oddly servers do not attempt to use low voices and there is a lot of back and forth for forgotten napkins, straws, etc. causing them to have several passes in front of movie watchers. Secondly, and most importantly, the theatre is not equipped with movie theatre appropriate sound. The volume is consistently low in several different theaters on both sides of the building. We thought the 1st & even 2nd times were a fluke & we have asked each time for the volume to be adjusted & have been told it would be addressed, but this never actually occurs. None of my family have hearing deficits or impairments and in fact my iPhone doesnt even detect that I am in a loud place bc it never goes above 73 decibles (even during action scenes). Most theaters register about 90 db. While some may say, GREAT protect your hearing, but with all the clatter & chatter during the movie from the staffwatching movies at SMG is like watching it at home, something we did for the past 2.5 years and didnt have to spend $100+ each time to do so! Finally, the theatre turns on full-house lights immediately at the finale of the movie making the screen very hard to view. In the day of mid-credit and post-credit scenes this is inappropriate & unfortunate bc avid movie goers live for these scenes. Again, each of these issues have been discussed with in-house management as constructive feedback but after the 5th movie there has been no attempt to correct so we will have to return to AMC or Regal for the true movie experience in the future.

Great service and food. Cleanliness is top notch. The only thing is that when you are watching the movie its like you are at your grandparents house because they keep the Air Conditioning off the whole time.. It gets a little hot for me

BAD - Theater AC shut off and everyone was sweating. I wouldve complained, but its not worth my time or any free tickets they would offer. Will not be going back. Service was good, food was not special and the seats are too close to each other. They really sacrificed comfort for more seats (more money for them less comfort for us)

Orders are delivered lightning fast to seats. Nice mid-century modern lobby, the guys who put the bar stools together r awesome, thanks Ed. I only hope they can replace the glowering Godfather poster with one of Paul Blart Mall Cop so we can laugh everytime we walk in and see Kevin James as Paul Blart riding that segueway.

Ok this is the 2nd Movie I see here and I have to say, the "experience" of the movie here at this location is BAD. Complained about the volume being too low to hear the dialogue 3 times before it got raised enough to not only hear sound effects but the words being spoken. Everyone knows MARVEL movies have 2 end credit scences. Before the 1st was even shown all the lights in the theatre came on at full brightness... Then the credits role (we know the 2nd end scene comes after credits), the entire clean up crew (about 8 of them) came in with 5 Gal home depot buckets to collect everyone's left over drinks and food. No one left the theatre, everyone was waiting for the credits to finish, and the staff continues to walk around everyone blocking the view collecting drinks while we are still in our seats! I finally asked, "Is there not an end credit scene"? and they replied yes... So why are you all in front of us collecting stuff and blocking us... The manager, Ed, was no where to be found to hear this complaint.
