I purchased Die Hard Batteries for years, based on their warranty. Since Advance took ownership of Die Hard Batteries, please understand that the warranty is not the same. I purchased a Die Hard Battery Gold that ADVERTISED to carry a 3 year warranty. When the battery went bad in 2 years, i was told i had to purchase and pay full price for a new battery. The reason being, The Die Hard Battery MANUFACTORY of their batteries has NO GUARANTEE that it will last 3 years. Only the ORIGINAL PURCHASE DATE of A DIE HARD BATTERY HAS A WARRANTY! If you get a free replacement of a Die Hard Battery with-in the warranty period, the replacement battery will ONLY have a warranty of the remainig time period from when you purchased the original battery, prior to the free replacement you received. So, lets be clear, the warranty DOES NOT COVER THE MANUFACTURING OF A DIE HARD BATTERY, THE WARRANTY ONLY COVERS THE ORIGINAL DATE YOU PURCHASED THE FIRST BATTERY. To better understand, if you originally purchase a Die Hard Battery 1/1/19 and you get a free replacement on 12/1/21, the BRAND NEW free replacement Die Hard Battery off the store shelf is only good and warranted until 12/31/21. That being said, the replacement was only good to be replaced for 1 Month. Lets be clear, the Die Hard Manufacture of the Die Hard product does not hold ANY warranty, only the PURCHASING of their product carry a purchasing warranty. This is absolutely FALSE ADVERTISING!! There are no GUARANTEE that the new Die Hard Battery off the shelf will last for 3 years. THAT IS WHAT SHOULD BE ADVERTISED! (YOU COULD GET A FREE REPLACEMENT BATTERY THAT IS DEFECTIVE, THAT WILL NOT HAVE ANY WARRANTY.) I have been misled that the Die Hard Gold Battery had a Manufacturing WARRANTY for 3 years!!! The advertising of this product can not be trusted as it reads.
