Yvonne Thompson is, without doubt, a star. She has been my travel specialist for close to 20 years. We met fortuitouslywhen she happened to be working with another travel agency I contactedand I have chosen her to help me out ever since.
I have travelled extensively over the years for both business and pleasure, in situations running the gamut from modest to lavish. At every turn, Yvonne has been able not only to meet my travel needs but also to adapt quickly and effectively when my plans have changed. In particular, when flight delays have forced me to miss connections, I have deplaned amidst throngs of anxious fellow passengers only to discover I have already been booked onto new flights (and, if necessary, into a hotel).
We have worked together for travel throughout North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. I have also referred numerous friends and family members to Yvonne. Each has praised her for being creative, responsive and understandingsentiments I echo wholeheartedly!

We (myself & my children & grandchildren...- 'not' my husband) had small trips in Fla, the Ga mtns and NC, the destination was to see my family.
My husband declined each time...
Fast-forward 20 yrs, Craig (my husband) decided for us to go for a small vacation...we didn't know where to start!
I'd say we were amateurs, so clueless.
Then we found Yvonne Thompson, to say she's a travel agent, doesn't do her justice.
We knew we wanted to go Durango, Co., my husband had such a fond memories there as a 10 yr old boy, riding the Silverton railroad, that we decided to bring our 10 yr old granddaughter to go with us.
Yvonne took the reigns!
She took care of everything, the flights, car rental, hotel, the train, zip lining (gloves, water bottle & head cover).
She covered all the bases - everything.
I would strongly recommend her for all of your plans (big or small).
She cares about the little things I forgot, that makes her our 'travel guru'.
She does it all, great land & cruise package deals, she has 'the connection'.
We love her!
PS we are planning a trip to the National Parks in the spring

Had to book a last minute flight back to the US from Uganda and Yvonne from Destination Plannings came through with perhaps the best priced, shortest flight available online. She was patient and made the process so seamless on our end. Will be recommending her and using this same agency next time!!!
