Bill with Roggie and Pierce has prepared my returns for the past several years. He is professional and courteous, thorough and FAST! My taxes are not simple but Bill makes it easy to understand and most importantly files everything correctly and efficiently.

When my husband and I first met Bill we both felt he was very unprofessional. He was incredibly nonchalant about everything and during our initial meeting with him he would ask us questions, which we would answer, but he wouldn't make any notes or write anything down, which simply resulted in him asking the same questions over again. One of the first things he asked us was if we wanted to file electronically or paper and I stated electronic would be fine. He said he can do electronic of course but he is old school(his words) and he prefers paper for his records. We both agreed that was fine (even if a little odd). I will say he had our return complete within a week, which I appreciated, and we went to pick it up. He couldn't even take the time to meet with us and had his assistant or receptionist (not sure her title) hand us the documents and collect payment. She said "I'm sure he went over them with you." No, actually he did not, I received a phone call which resulted in a voicemail saying they were ready and to stop by after a certain time on a certain day, which we did. This is the part where I became highly agitated. In addition to federal taxes he filed state taxes but we didnt even need them filed (we moved from another state in January) because we never claimed residency in that state the entire 3 years we lived there. He called me and said that we had them in 2016s return but I checked my full return and no, we did not. There is NO record of a state return the previous 2 tax returns while we lived there. So he charged us $150 on top of the other $300 for two pieces of paper that clearly stated we were not residents of the state and were military which resulted in 0 taxes for that state. On top of that, we paid $450 for federal and state taxes to be filed, yet we had to mail them both off ourselves and pay for postage! The whole reason he wanted to do paper filing was because he didn't actually have to file them! We have used two different CPA firms over the past 11 years in two different states and this is the first time we've ever come across anything like this. I would definitely not recommend, he is overpriced for the minimal amount of work he does, and the fact that after paying him an exorbitant amount of money I still had to actually file my taxes is absolutely ridiculous. We will not go back there next year and recommend anyone else avoids him as well.
