Palmetto Landing has been fabulous. From the ED Angel to the Health and Wellness Director Jennifer. They truly care about your loved one and strive to give the best care possible. I have personal contact numbers for both of them and they always answer my calls. If an issue comes up, they are on top of it right away. BEST ASSISTED LIVING EVER. I'm truly happy.

I truly hope whoever considers Palmetto Landing will be aware of the negligence of the staff and director. My grandmother has been there nearly 6 months and I literally have needed to contact them at least twice a week because of them not doing the things they are paid to do. In the beginning I had asked for a detailed list of all the services that are included with what we were paying- example house keeping, laundry, medications, showers, etc. I was told that they could not provide me with a list because its all in their system. It took me going to corporate to get my family a meeting to discuss what services were provided with our level of care and when these things were to be done. Laundry is to be done twice a week, house keeping once, and the other medically necessary things were on a schedule. We installed a ring camera in the room so we were able to see when people came in and out to do these tasks. Housekeeping has blatantly lied saying they have done the cleaning but I could prove otherwise. The same goes with laundry services. Its been a weekly battle. After going to corporate again, we met with the director Angel who continually spoke to me and my mother in a demeaning tone and will NEVER take responsibility or apologize for her staffs short comings. The nurse supervisor, Jennifer, is God sent and gave me direct contact to her. When a problem is brought to her attention, she does remediate the problem. However the staff continues to forget to take care of my grandmothers needs on a regular basis, forcing Jennifer to have to get a call from me and handle the situations herself. We have also had issues with the staff coming in at outrageous hours to either give medication or to change out the trash. At one point it was nearly 3 in the morning and in fact today was at 4:45am to change the trash. We have had incidents where furniture has fallen on top of my grandmother and staff would come in her room and look at the fallen objects (ie- bookshelf and bed frame) and walk out of the room, leaving my grandmother in her room with a large hazard. Again, the camera came in handy. If I wouldnt have called to have them check on her, they wouldnt have even physically checked her out for injuries. Once jennifer was notified, she immediately got on things and thankfully everything turned out okay. Her staff had failed her again. We are moving her to a new facility due to the insane cost of her monthly dues and not getting value out of the money youre paying there. It has been utterly exhausting. I know they will be happy not to hear from me any longer but I fear for their future residents if changes arent made soon. There is some positives, although the negatives outweigh them. My grandmother enjoyed the almost daily activities that were ran by Jonathan. He did great by getting her up and involved. As stated above, Jennifer was fantastic. She truly cares for her residents well being. Those two will be missed! I just hope for the safety and sake of future residents that the familys look more closely into this. My suggestions is to keep a camera in the room to hold the staff accountable.

Another gift from God! Linh, my husband, has a new home with caring people at Palmelto Landing. We just recently moved Linh here. It was a wise decision on my part. He loves the place ( spacious room and good food) with caring staff. The administration team with Angel (the Executive Director) , Stephanie, Hailey , Jonathan , Tish, and the caring clinical team including Jennifer, Darlene , Lorraine and Sheri and others are all very professional , friendly and always there to help us. The cafeteria staff serve the food with the smile! Also thank you to the engineering/maintenance staff with Shayna to keep the place clean, well maintained. Kudos to the caregivers staff who provides direct service to my husband for being so friendly , nice and would go the extra mile to ensure he is comfortable. We appreciate all that you do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Do yourself a favor and get a camera in your loved ones room. Without it, there would have been several times that daily tasks and hold have been incomplete. We love the head nurse, Jennifer and the activities director, Jonathan. Theyre the reason that this has been even a remotely enjoyable experience. Also be sure to ask for print out of all services youre being provided.

Palmetto Landing has been wonderful to work with. They have treated my Mom, who is in the Memory Care Unit, with dignity and respect and have addressed any concerns that I have had. The staff is friendly and caring. Food is good. Courtyard is beautiful. Smaller facility that has a great patient/resident ratio. Director has been in contact with me personally to answer questions. I am very thankful my Mom is a resident here.
