Howard Johnson by Wyndham Winter Haven FL

We've been staying at this hotel once or twice a year for 19 years. No it's not perfect but what hotel is. Yes they need to upgrade inside rooms like lamps, decor and bedding (sheets, blankets and comforters, the caulking around tubs and curtains on sliding glass doors needs to be replaced but it's always been a great stay most of the time. Rooms are clean. Yes we recommend this hotel.

Ok, so I'm not a consistent reviewer, just when I thinks it's relevant to help people make a good choice. This is a very adequate hotel. Working in the area and cant justify $250+ for a hotel. Also, dont like staying in dumps... This one is older, however seems recently renovated. Stayed in a bouble queen room on first floor. Very clean and the beds were comfy. These are inside entry rooms, however first floor has sliding glass doors to the outside. I personally love this because it made going back and forth to my truck handy and you could access the rest of the hotel without having to do so to go outside. Pros: Very clean Quiet Plenty of parking Friendly staff Recent renovation Comfortable beds Clean carpet Cons: Small TV Guest laundry (old machines) Some pieces of furniture seem to be pre-renivation No desk in my room (small round table and 2 plastic chairs which aren't conducive to doing computer work) Tub seems older. Clean, however glazing is showing signs of wear. If you're looking for an affordable hotel option in the area, this is defiantly a good one. I would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful affordable hotel. Checkin was quick and easy. Friendly service. Room was big and roomy. I brought my own room freshner because I think all hotels smell weird to me. We were on the ground floor. It was quiet and our beds were nice and comfy. Room 109. Shower pressure and temp was the best I've ever experienced. Breakfast was simple and free. Cheerios, cornflakes, pancakes, mini muffins fruit, yogurt, OJ and coffee. I never went to the pool or jacuzzi so not sure how that was. I would definitely stay here again. Close to Lego Land. Also close to many stores and restaurants. TY!!
