The facilities are in a deplorable state and the cleaning simply did not happen there in the last two months at least

Staying while the house is rebuilt through Rebuild. The room exceeded expectations. Owners and staff are kind and thoughtful. The view is breathtaking.

Rooms are disgusting, the smell of urine and cigarettes. I would be questioning those 5 stars reviews Outside is pretty, but the room itself was just a nightmare. Pictures look good, but I would highly recommend to check the rooms before booking

I needed a place to stay while my home was being rebuilt from damage done by hurricane Irma. I was with rebuild Florida and was given this place by them. It seems a lot of family's from rebuild have stayed here. I am disabled and on oxygen full time, plus being on a special diet and on insulin meant I needed a place with a full kitchen. My daughter (who is my full time care giver) was so excited after seeing the room and discovering there was a screened in porch. It is more like an apartment than a motel room with two queen size beds, a full kitchen with a 60" round dinner table, and a very comfortable couch that is also a pull out bed. (and very comfy) The porch is semi private and looks out over the lake, which has a breath-taking view. yes, the furniture is dated but is clean and taste-full, I will be here for about 3 months and home is what you make it. the amenities include an on site laundry, very nice pool, ice machine and grill areas with picnic tables. we do have neighbors, but they are also with rebuild and we have already had a BBQ. The owners are a very sweet older couple who genuinely care for their guests.... Housekeeper (Jackie) is a jewel. she is friendly, and very people orientated. The place is not a world wide 5 star posh motel, but in my opinion, it is a 5 star cozy, friendly, clean family run motel, and I feel like family.

The room we had in the newer section in the two story bldg on the lake side (two sides to it), was better than we thought it would be, in that the king size bed was more comfortable than it looked or we thought it would be, and the room was large. It did have a fridge, micro, TV, hair dryer and coffee maker and a few outlets to charge devices, along with having a shared screened in porch with all the other maybe 5 other rooms looking out to the lake and pool. The bathroom is just average with a tub/shower combo that provides hot water and gets you clean. Toilet is low to ground, but doesn't run and flushes properly, but only a one person room, unless someone is in the tub already - no walking room, but that is most bathrooms in most places. The one Terrible thing (especially if u r a light sleeper), is the walls, windows and doors r so thin, u HEAR EVERYTHING. The TV and people's conversations in the room next door, the busy road right near the motel - we were trying to sleep between 11:30pm and 1am last night, and the couple on the opposite side facing the small street (not next door on our side of the lake, but behind us - two story bldg with two sides), came home, turned the TV on, talked about 30 min (could hear what they were saying and even walking or taking their shoes off and dropping them on the floor), and then when we thought they had settled down and were going to sleep, we were hearing the woman's sex moans "oh, oh, oh" and the like! Not loudly - she was trying to be quiet, but again, walls so thin, might as well have been right in the room filming them! We r here for 2 more nights - will see what happens next! Rooms: See all the above Nearby activities: Minutes from Lego Land, about an hr from Disney and Universal Studio, Sea World and everything else. Noteworthy details: This motel is only one on the chain of lakes
