What an exceptional place for family with therapy needs. The Physical Therapy team is caring, compassionate, personal and know how to work with residents. We were so grateful for the tender care therapist Kim offered.

This place has potentials but they need to monitor they're employees and they're nasty attitudes. When I call I can never be transferred to someone in charge. Some lady employeel with a Jamaican accent call herself yelling at me over the phone like she lost her mind. There are a couple of other islanders that are nasty too. I love everyone I hate seeing people mistreat ppl especially during the time they are trying to get better.

My 91 year old father with dementia and frequent falls needed to be transferred from the WPM VA Hosp (where he received wonderful care) to rehab for physical therapy for balance and walking. I researched and called the many options the VA provided. I do not live in Florida so I was not able to visit the facilities, which made the choice for my father all the more difficult. I decided on Palm Gardens after speaking with them several times, reading the reviews, and viewing the website. I had a strong gut feeling that this would be the best option. And it proved to be a better choice than I could have hoped for! My father flourished and improved in the 3 weeks he was there. He was cared for in a loving way. He was treated with kindness by every single person that works there, from housekeeping, dietary, party planning, PT/OT, Nursing, etc. They were very responsive. He felt like they knew him and cared about him. Ultimately it's about the people and they were all amazing but he also loved the food and the parties. The dining rooms and tv room are beautiful and uplifting. Great location and beautiful, clean facility. When he was discharged he was celebrated and was leaving a new man, so improved both physically and emotionally. Thank you Palm Gardens!
