Always had good food but the new lunch specials were very disappointing today. The four of us took cheeseburger (was ok), chicken pot pie ( not like it was very liquid instead of creamy (very few chicken chunks) the chicken rice bowl ( overcooked chicken but great taste rice and bean and the vege Philly sandwich basically was mushroom and cheese over an over toasted sub bread.

It had been a long while since I've dined here, the food was excellent, our server, Yaneth, was delightful and those croissants!! We had lunch and were impressed with everything - mighty big drinks, nice size salads and my pot pie, a lunch special, had veggies and huge hunks of chicken under a flaky crust. Loved everything about the experience

We had eaten at a Cheddars Scratch Kitchen in Port St Lucie with a gift card. It was fair and we had money left on the card, so we thought we'd give the one in Melbourne a try. Sadly, it was a terrible experience, all around. The wait time to get seated wasn't bad, even though it was crowded. We ordered a loaded potato soup for Mom and blackened tilapia with shrimp, a baked potato, and red beans and rice as the sides for us. We waited forever for the food. A table that was seated after us received their food before we did. Luckily, the appetizer croissants were good, warm, and arrived quickly. The waiter finally brought out Mom's soup, but not our entree for another 10 minutes or longer. Although the soup was hot, Mom didn't like it because of the bacon bits, which I suspected were artificial. Our entree was HORRIBLE! The shrimp were dried out, and overcooked some terrible. The tilapia was burnt and dried out. The waiter noticed that it didn't have much sauce, so he brought us extra sauce. Thank God, because otherwise it would not have been edible. We dare not send it back and wait another hour. The baked potato was alright, but that's hard to mess up. The only good thing was the side of red beans and rice. We wished we had ordered that as the entree. Our waiter offered to pack up Mom's soup to go, but we explained that she didn't like it because of the bacon bits. He was kind enough to pack up a cup of soup without bacon bits for her. I seriously doubt we'll return to any Cheddars Scratch Kitchen.
