    Had AC problems in my Honda and my dad referred me to them got on the phone and they were very straight forward with me what all the possible costs could be cause I wasnt certain what was wrong with my AC and got me in and fixed up next day after calling them; and after that they even beat Walmarts price for tire install by 20 bucks and got me new tires next day. Couldnt recommend them more great service honest pricing and solid work.

    I have to say that I was severely disappointed with my last experience. I had them install new shocks, struts, tires, and do an alignment. First of all, the work was shoddy. The left rear shock was most likely misinstalled because it had a very bad rattle on any uneven pavement, and the alignment was off, causing a wandering much like driving in a strong wind (bad toe). . I was offended when they said it was correct when I picked it up, but it was noticeable immediately. If the alignment was correct, something was done to knock it out before I got it. But most disturbing was that they charged $145/hr for a half hour to evaluate the vehicle when I brought it in. I was never informed of this charge and only discovered it upon reviewing the bill after I was back home. I can understand such a charge if I had chosen to do the work myself or take it elsewhere after the evaluation but this was a $3300 bill! They refused to consider crediting the charge back to me. They said that the technician had to be paid. I pointed out that my time is valuable also, and returning the car to correct shoddy work took two hours of my time, and transportation cost. And I should also mention that my spare was almost flat after the service. How can a vehicle safety inspection not include a spare tire pressure check? I do not recommend Cassels.

    Everyone at this garage is very friendly and personable. They listen to you and they are fair with the pricing and were quick to get my car back on the road. As a woman, I did not feel intimidated , but felt comfortable knowing I was being taken care of. I have had my car serviced by them before and I will use them again. Cassels takes care of their customers.

    UPDATE: The garage has changed hands but kept the name I have had 2 problems with the new team. I had a nail in my tire and they "fixed" it though it wasn't really fixed. My tires had seen better days so I went ahead and got new tires at Sam's. Then my husband had an appointment the other morning for an oil change and some filters changed. They said it would take an hour and a half, 3 hours later, my husband called, they didn't know who he was or where the car was. Finally around closing time, someone called and said the car was ready, we said we'd pick it up in the morning. I dropped him off in the morning and the car was still in the bay with the hood up. We're done with them, I miss the old team. I've used Cassels Garage for 30 years, very professional, honest and they guarantee their work. Service: Oil change

I'm terribly sorry you had a bad experience. I was surprised to read that you were charged $145 for half an hour diagnostic which caused me to pull the original and finalized paperwork. I can see how this charge can be confusing. The charge was actually $72.5. Our invoices show the number of hours labor at our labor rate ($145) and next to that is what you were charged. That charge was the same amount that you and I discussed in the driveway when you brought me your concern, "Grind noise at slow speed but changes with speed. Not sure if its front or rear." The half hour charge was for our Mechanic test drive the vehicle under multiple conditions then return for an inspection. In your particular case it involved inspecting the front-end steering and suspension as well as pulling the wheels to check brakes and bearings. Most of the time this type of test drive and inspect requires more time than is paid to the mechanic and is also fair to our customers. Unfortunately, some parts, no matter the quality, are still susceptible failure. In your case the left rear shock failed after just a month on the road. We are not pleased when this happens as it takes from everyone's time but most importantly it inconveniences our customers. I am happy to share that unlike most garages 1yr/12k mile warranty our warranty covers you for 24 months or 24,000 miles. We want to make sure we own any oversight and rectify all issues when given the opportunity. I will be working with our team to make sure we are 100% on safety inspection and to be sure spare tires are a part of this.
