The trash collectors leave the empty containers all over my property. Usually in the middle of the driveway so I have to get out of my car and move them before I can pull in. Just what you want to deal with after a 12 hour work day. When I called to ask them to have a talk with the drivers and make sure it stops, the representative tried to say it was somehow my fault or they must be setting them on angle on and on. The thing is it doesn't happen to anyone else on the block. So now if they actually do something about it I will give more than one star.

Every week, the trash cans are thrown into the ditch. The lids are torn off and laying in the street for people to run them over. They have even taken the lids to all my trash cans one week. Another week, they destroyed the can by smashing it against the truck and tore it so it was no longer usable. I can't keep replacing them because they feel like being nasty and throwing them around and leaving lids in the street to get run over. I can always tell if we have someone else do our route. The people filling in are nice and leave the cans at the end of the driveway with the lids on top. They get paid for the job they accepted you think they would have some respect for people's property. Another week, we had a delivery truck in front of our house dropping something off. The driver yelled out the window, telling us to move the truck. They were municipality and would call the police if we didn't move the truck. When I stated they were taking a delivery off the truck and would be gone in a few minutes, the passenger of the trash truck got out of his truck and threatened me. Seriously? A grown man has to threaten a woman having a delivery because the truck was in his was. Completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and very scary for a woman of 5ft 4" when this man was very large and tall. You would expect better behavior than that. Absolutely not nice! He scared me for no reason. I live in the house the delivery was being made to. Find better human beings for employees. Today, September 22nd, they only emptied 1 of 2 trash cans. Why is this job so hard for them?

Formally Venice Police Department, this building has experienced a wonderful revamp.
Venice Public Works and Venice Parks and Recreation now have an updated building that will grow as the city of Venice does.
