Venice Health and Rehabilitation Center

After visiting several rehabilitation facilities in the Venice area and feeling very lost at where my husband should go for help, I believe we hit the jackpot at Venice Health and Rehabilitation Center! He was there for six weeks. People will find fault everywhere, but the care and the staff was excellent! Many employees have numerous years of employment here and that says volume. I would recommend VH&RC to anyone who asks.

Warning If you care and love for your family member who needs to be in a facility to be cared for, please look at other facilities and with a different corporation. The Venice Health and rehabilitation facility will strip your loved ones freedom and make your loved one stay in bed so they don't have to keep an eye them.

I was at Venice health and rehab for over 2 weeks and received Extraordinary care from the nurses, Chris the director of nursing along with Sharon, pam , Caroline and others, along with the lovely aides! I don't want to leave out Debra, who usually worked nites. The pt &ot workers were excellent, Dawn, Sue, Andrea and laura. The facility was cleaned daily, and A very caring spirit was very present. I recommend Venice Rehab! You'll be pleased. Gid bless you! Betsy Bolton

*ELDERLY ABUSE* If I could do negative stars I would. This place is a sad excuse for a nursing facility. I have no clue how anyone could give this place a 5 stars. They must be fake employee reviews. My grandmother was abused and neglected for 5 days. No shower after coming from the hospital after surgery with iodine all over. We cleaned her and saw what looked like days of going to the bathroom without being cleaned . A SEVERELY UNTREATED UTI along with her roommate!! Pushing the help button? Forget it. The hallway is constantly lit up like Christmas because no one gets help for hours, HOURS. They encourage everyone to go to the bathroom in her diaper and sit in it. She also fell out of bed and they re inserted her dirty catheter from the ground. I asked a nurse for wipes to help clean my grandmother. She responds with if you find some let me know I havent seen any in days WHAT. Also, every time I asked for something I was responded with aggressive eye rolls because they had to do their job. Excuse of nurses. No one forced you to do this job, be a little less fricken miserable. I hope these workers are treated this way when its their turn. Thats the karma she deserves. I reported this facility everywhere I could but I was told no charges due to their word against my entire family so Ill continue to spread the word everywhere I can. I found the owners of this place too. You should be ashamed of yourselves and shouldnt be considered doctors.
