The Brownwood Hotel & Spa

Hotel staff was not accommodating or friendly. When I asked for a printout of my charges when checking out I noticed a 15 dollar tip on a 20 dollar change. You can see in the receipt they pulled up the bartender added a 1 in front of the 5. I told them that wasnt me I would never leave a 15 dollar tip on 20 dollars and they insisted I did. I would make sure to look over your bill. I think this is happening at the bar here more than you think. Never have had this happen before at a bar - so surprised it was here. Beware

I visited for a seminar and was delighted to see how gorgeous this hotel lobby, etc is. I would recommend this hotel just for the ambiance. WOW Noteworthy details: I didn't see any rooms, but the staff and the surrounding areas were quite nice and beautiful.

Great 5-star experience. Beautiful interior with descent amenities. Close to all the Villages fun.

We have used the Brownwood Hotel and Spa one other time in Feb 2024. The quality was OK, but certainly not worth the nearly $300 per night. However, we recently booked a room online and mistakingly selected the wrong date. We immediately called and requested a change not a cancellation for the correct date. We were told, sorry, your online booking cannot be changed. Even after explaining that we booked the hotel mistakingly for the night we made the reservation and not for the next week we would be traveling. We asked to speak to a supervisorwas on hold for 15 minutes and was told they were not available. I explained again that it was in error and wasnt looking for a refund, but to simply change the date. After a long conversation of sorry sir - we made our reservation at a nearby Choice hotel - and saved $100 per night! Sorry, but the quality of The Brownwood does not warrant their arrogant change policy at $275 per night! Poor Customer ServicePoor Change Policy!
