I had eye surgery on Tuesday, this place was top notch. It was easy to schedule, they took excellent care of me and even called the day after to ensure I was ok. The staff really went all out to provide me with comfort, care and information during the entire process. Thank you!

This center located at the Medical Art Building. However the map does not indicate this. It took us 10 minutes to find out where it locates. When we were quite upset and talked to the first person, Gloria, who checked us in. She was so pleasant and patience to apologize us, even though it was not her fault at all! Then the service in the whole department was great. We had a very pleasant experience here.

I had a bilateral reconstruction on 7/3 following mastectomy for breast Cancer. From check in to discharge they did a great job. Surgery was on time The anesthesiologist and surgeon both spoke to me prior to my procedure. The nursing staff were friendly While not allowed to be with me due to the coronavirus, my husband was kept up to date as to my condition. I would hope not to need their services going forward but would definitely recommend them and am grateful that theyre there!

Called yesterday a.m. advise me (just a courtesy call) to let me know haven't received authorization from insurance for surgery today. I asked if my surgery would be postponed if authorization was not confirmed in time. They said NO not unless my surgeon postponed it. (she didn't). Then they called again yesterday about 4:30 p.m.to advise me to be there at 5:30 a.m. this morning. I followed pre surgery instructions including but not limited to a horrible covid test, waking up at 4 a.m.,my husband taking off of work and the anxiety that comes with the anticipation of surgery. Got there for today's surgery at 5:30a.m. and was turned away. I can't quote exactly what I was told because I was crying and completely distraught. But in a nut shell they advised me the director (don't have a name) advised them not to admit me. I demanded to know why they called me yesterday to be there this morning at 5:30 am and in a nice way they told me this department doesn't know/do that and that department doesn't know/ that. I nice way of trying to say one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. BTW this surgery was part of my breast cancer reconstruction and they told the concern was because this is considered elective? A hospital that's administration does not know that this is not elective? They were cold and no one cared. Not to mention they have already been paid (not sure of the exact amount but obviously a lot) by my insurance company for imaging, and other surgeries needed since my diagnosis. Obviously money (that they would receive) not people is their only concern. After arguing with admissions they sent a head nurse out to repetitively explain the exact same thing. She said she cared? Maybe she did but she had no authority. So why send her except to shut me up and waist more of my time. Then someone else came out with a cell phone with my DR. on the line. But what could she do if the hospital wouldn't admit me? I would have given zero stars but it's not an option.

I had excellent care at the St. Joseph same day surgery center. The whole process was quick & I was in a preop room exactly on time. My nurse Chris, she was very kind and explained to me all the different medications she was giving to me prior to surgery. She always came to check on me even when she was busy. I can't say enough good things about her! Also Dr. Lopez the anesthesiologist along with the CRNA (sorry i can't remember his name) really went above & beyond to reassure me through the whole process. I have a cardiac pm, and they had taken all the necessary precautions. They walked me through every step of what they were doing. I have undergone many surgeries, but this by far was the best experience I've ever had. I'm hoping I can get my next pm here! Thank you St. Joseph and a big thank you to all the staff that took care of me.
