Staff normally don't greet you when you come in. Equipment is full of dust. Apparently there's a "macho culture" or competition of who can hit the plates harder to the floor; it's extremely annoying. Just a comparison with Planet Fitness is that they have an alarm for that or they kick you out; there's no "ego issues." The location is convenient, and there's plenty of equipment, but get ready to deal with all that.

I didn't like the fact that , you are force to do 6 months of training and you can't change that. $220 for one day a week, cross fit offers me $193 everyday class with a trainer, they said i will have to buy out my contract witch I didn't know was entering into a contract for personal training. So im force to stay knowing that there's something better out there. If I would have known this I would never enter into the personal training.

Unbelievable how snobby these little kids are who run the front desk at this gym! I have had an LA fitness Membership forever..it was gifted to me 20 years ago from my aunt who bought it when it was Bally's! So I have been to to this location atleast 6 or 7 times and never had an issue.
Today some punk kid chases me down (literally ran the length of the gym yelling "mame" and then asks if ive ever been to this gym before. I say yes and he tries to up charge me $10..saying they are a signature club and my Membership requires me to pay a fee.
Umm...no, I've never been told this before. So does he let me know for next time, nope. Demands I come to the front desk with him and then ignores me when I ask how can they upgrade my account. He gave me attitude because I gave him pushback and he didnt like it .
I ask why they uncharged and am told morw amenities. Nope same amenities as Largo, St Pete, Clearwater..try again. Because there's a few extra machines? I'd have just paid the upcharge instead of leaving if BOTH the employees weren't so rude about letting me know! The girl actually said "your membership isn't VALID" loudly in front of other members. Which is not true, and should've been worded differently but she clearly was trying to embarrass me. Apparently adding the word signature makes these kids feel superior. Well this gym isn't worth it so take your money elsewhere!
