Zimo Bakery & Cafe

Both male workers intentionally avoided eye contact when we entered, never greeted us. One, walking directly across me 2ft from my face while I was viewing the menu, still didn't speak or excuse himself. Got a distinct "we don't like Black people" vibe. One asian, one white. Also, cafe has that "standing water" smell (fart odor) once you get a few feet in. Turned around and left. UPDATE: Original review above. To reply to owner's abrasive response, we can see the type of energy you give off from this reply. There was no name calling in our review; it was all very matter of fact, aside from the vibe we said we definitely noticed. The caustic, dismissive response only confirms this energy. To their objection, being a "minority" is not relevant to our review, nor does it invalidate our experience. Clearly, not all "minorities" like, tolerate, or are open and welcoming to all other ethnic groups. The owner's responses -- "nobody cares", accusing us of being "clearly delusional" -- only exemplify their intolerance and confirm our initial review. It was, indeed, obvious that "nobody cared" whether we stayed or left. Point made.

Such an amazing and relaxing experience to visit here! Everything from the pastries to the drinks are perfect. I sat for hours doing school work one afternoon and had ordered the Thai Tea with Boba and an Iced Matcha Latte with Oatmilk and honey. Both drinks were amazing and deliciously prepared! I bought a bunch of pastries to take home with me back in St. Pete and as weve been eating them throughout the week we cant wait to travel out and get more

Zimo's is a cute little spot to go and relax at! The lighting is nice, it's very clean, sleek, with a handful of warmth. It's a highly Instagramable spot. There are pastries set out for you to pick up! It's not particularly sweet for those who look for sugar on sugar, but they taste wonderful. I had the brown sugar mochi, and it tasted wonderful. They also serve Boba and teas, along with other items. The brown sugar milk tea was wonderful, as was the oolong cheese tea. There are also a few goodies in a display case. I had the tiramasu and the cheesecake, which were both wonderful. Again, none of the pastries are incredibly sweet. Which is great since it won't give you a crazy sugar high. There's plenty of seating, and the air conditioning is always on. It's a friendly space as well. The staff are all very kind and patient.
