Altis Grand Central Apartments

After living at Altis for a year, I am 1000% convinced that it is a social experiment to see how much people will pay to be inconvenienced in multiple aspects of day to day life. The parking garage spaces are extremely compact. Guest parking is a nightmare. I had multiple friends who were towed and I myself was towed due to confusing policies and terrible signage. The building is not secure. Doors are constantly propped open or just not locking correctly. Half of the time, If they are locked its because theyre jammed. The security gate in the parking garage did not work the entire time I lived there and my car was stolen. Management completely dropped the ball on assisting me with getting the appropriate information to my insurance company and Tampa PD- causing the insurance investigation to be miserable and drawn out for months. Major flooding happened on two occasions in the year that I was there, displacing many people without much regard from management. The company that they hired to repair the flood damage would send 5-7 men I didnt know into my apartment at any given time over the course of 2 months sometimes without knocking. I was woken up at my BEDROOM door by a man (not altis maintenance, but a 3rd party restoration company) who had been given a key to my apartment. Another time I was in the shower and 3 men from the same company walked into my apartment without my consent. I understand that it was a 3rd party, but management should have done a better job of overseeing that project and ensuring the safety of their residents. The pool and rooftop view cant be beat, so it has that going for it. Otherwise- this is faux luxury and poorly managed.

The building is amazing and the staff couldn't be nicer! It's one of the more higher end facilities and the amenities are top notch. I've been here for a few months and have had a great experience. Randi, Yolanda and Ashlynn are always very friendly and happy to help with whatever needs you may have. They have always gone above and beyond and I would highly recommend the Altis.

We love living here! My fianc and I have been residents since Altis opened, and we are extremely happy with our choice. We're a stone's throw from downtown, and are right around the corner from Davis Island and Bayshore Boulevard. Living here has made transitioning into a new city an easy task. I'm extremely impressed with the amenities, and my guests are in agreement once they see the rooftop pool, the fully equipped gym, and the view of downtown (especially at sunset). Randi has been great to work with in all of our time here, assisting us in any issues that arise in our apartment, and the maintenance staff has been professional and timely. Altis has been a great choice for us!
