I am an emergency contact for a friend in another state. He has severe lymphademia. His Occupational Therapist, Robin Burst, not only made me aware of the situation, but helped me coordinate daily care at home. She provided training and education for his new home health aide, insuring that he will continue to receive the best care for his condition. Her kindness, caring and dedication has been invaluable. I don't know what would have happened without her.

!!!!!!!!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!! This place is taking advantage of the elderly. My father was going here everyday till his wound on his leg gets better. There isn't a problem with the service or staff. They are very nice. The problem is with the scamming that I guess is the owner or person in charge with so called(necessary equipment) that needs to be purchased. These people insisted to my father that he has to buy this special compression wrap for both of his legs. I agree that he needs it but the catch is that you have to buy there equipment and won't let you shop around for a better priced product. They sell it from$400.00 to $500.00. And on top of that you HAVE TO PAY CASH. No exceptions. No cards (debit or credit) exepted to purchase these items. Then they want you to purchase on top of that a compression sleeve that they cut to size. CASH ONLY. Now why do you need a compression sock or sleeve on when you have a compression strap around your leg. They make it mandatory that you have to purchase it and from them all CASH PAYMENT. NO EXEPTIONS. They let you know if you don't purchase these items by your next visit they won't take care of you and treat you. We declined the offer and never went back. Thank God. Now we started with another company that comes to your home and does the job. They told my father that the strap he purchased is just fine. He dosen't need to get another one. Ow and to also let you know if you decide to use this company, you have to purchase the $400 wrap every six months. No matter what. Mandatory!!! They also advise him that he signs a paper stating the he will pay anything they insist on him getting to heal up. No matter how many or how much it cost. What kind of scam is that. SO IM WARNING YOU, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! You can thank me later. Let our bad experience help you out so you don't have to fall for it. Thank you. Take care and good luck. This is in responce to your answer. I urge you to look into this establishment in Tamarac. I never complained about the work or treatment with the patient. I compliment you on that. It's the purchasing of wraps socks and other things . They was clear in stating that they would only take CASH for those purchases and I personally asked one of the staff members if I can purchase it somewhere else at a cheaper price and the replied back to me that they only exept there products. And if my father didn't purchase it from them , they couldn't work on him . That was from the staff a Tamarac. So if this is news to you I would hope you investigate this location or re-train them. Also he was never given or offered any alternative options on getting the items at a discount price or even no charge to him. Thank you for responding.

Had lymphedema in my legs for years. All the specialist I went to, tried and failed, to treat it successfully. After researching other options, , I went through 1 month of therapy at lymphatx and lost 5 inches of swelling on 1 leg. Robin and her staff are very professional, well trained, and guide you for a very positive therapy.

I was recently discharged from therapy. My primary therapist was Judith Sevilla. She provided EXCELLENT care and took the time to explain the process to me. The education piece was very important because this was not the first time I went through this type of therapy (I was with a different provider). She was empathetic and checked in with me throughout the treatment. Her recommendations post-treatment helped me to be more attentive to my long-term care and has bolstered by desire to stay committed. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

LymphaTx has been in practice for 24 years and we have never mandated that patients purchase garments from us. We offer it as a service since we are certified fitters but we specifically have a “Garment recommendation form” that we give to patients so that they order the correct garment from wherever they want. While we don’t mandate patients to purchase from us we do want patients to get what we recommend - since often patients want to treat compression garments as all the same and it is important to have the right garment for their medical condition and functional ability. Garments don’t last forever and most garments with daily wear are good for 6 months to one year depending on the type of garment and on patient wear- compression garments can be counterproductive if their integrity is compromised. When a patient refills because they have stayed in a garment that is too old and ineffectual then they require therapy again - we work to prevent that. At LymphaTx we make a point of asking all our patients if they are veterans since veterans can get their garments for free from the VA and we assist our patients with that process. We also are involved with the garment assistance programs that some companies provide for patients in need - like Sigvaris’ “compression for a cause”. We make specific requests and fill out the paperwork to get free garments for those patients in need that qualify. At LymphaTx we have always been concerned about the significant cost of garments and we offer interest free payment plans - I ask you - how many medical practices do you know that do that? LymphaTx has been an active member of the National Lymphedema Network and spent 12 years working to get the Lymphedema Treatment Act passed. We have been and continue to be strong advocates for our patients and have lobbied on Capital Hill because we care and we want to make sure that patients get the garments they need. It is simply wrong all these statements about cash- we take Visa, Mastercard, Discover and we don’t charge any fees for charging credit cards. We don’t have any such paperwork stating that a patient has to buy anything and at any price - seriously, the patients that come to us are of all ages and we respect our patients- we would not be in practice for 24 days never mind 24 years if we treated our patients as your described. Our therapists go over and above for our patients and we are clear from the first day what is involved in the therapy. LymphaTx staff educate patients in advance of starting care what is involved - since we do not want surprises and we want patients to be successful. I would be happy to review all of the paperwork we supply - I urge you to contact me and I’ll happily give you copies. LymphaTx is a caring and a committed team of therapists with thousands of patients treated over these many years - we are committed to giving outstanding care and upholding the highest ethical standards.
